Product Description

Torn between sexual desire, her vows of chastity and her fear of eternal damnation, a medieval nun struggles with her sanity.

Bordering on madness, she seeks solace in the savage words of sexual denial that are spoken to her by a disturbing "death nun" vision. Her sanity is further threatened by the imagined figure of Mary Magdalen, who challenges her concepts of sex as an evil, malignant force.

In between these discussions, the nun's mind is filled with brooding, violent, sexual fantasies that push her into a world of blackness, blood, and orgasmic self destruction.

Wow! This movie rivals Behind Convent Walls and Sinful Nuns of St. Valentine as one of the best 'nunsploitation' films around. If you went to Catholic school you should definitely see this film!
The title sequence with blood and crosses starts the film off in an absolutely stunning way. From there it's naughty nuns and some horror thrown in for good measure. The color is really well done, the production value is high. If you like nuns, or even better lesbian nuns, with a bit of horror and a dab of religion thrown in you should check this out.

If you've ever reveled in guilt over your desire to explore the sex lives of nuns, 'Sacred Flesh' should definitely be on your list. I saw this film for the first time in its limited theatrical run in London some years ago with my ex-catholic girlfriend. Due to her years in strict English catholic schools, she was attracted to anything having to do with nuns and sexuality. I wasn't expecting much out of this film other than some softcore nun sex scenes, but as it turned out the writer/director really took the theological debate about earthly vs heavenly satisfaction very seriously. Ultimately, the film doesn't really take sides, but presents repression and lust with both their torments and rewards. Either way, I had a great night at the movies, and I recommend this film for anyone who wants a little bit of philosophy with their kink!

Sex drive is all human. To repress it, nuns have to play their bodies against holy religion. And male priests sinfully play along with nude women.
No resolution. The blame remains on nuns' unholy sprint.
Naked scenes are very tame. Erotic nature does not exist.

I like this films premise, more than it's conclusions. The acting is not great, the nudity is for adults only and it's amazing grace. I think it's filled with more than just titillation, but I've seen worse. Keep in mind that this is a UK film and the director is a leading force in blasphemy themes.

Sacred Flesh (Nigel Wingrove, 2000)

I am a big fan of all things Steve Pittis, and Pittis and his Band of Pain did the soundtrack for Sacred Flesh. That is the only excuse I can offer up for watching this particularly boring slice of softcore nunsploitation all the way through. I mean, before I actually started watching it, I had all kinds of reasons, most of them having to do with nuns wearing wimples and, you know, nothing else. And to be sure, there's some of that here, but not nearly enough. You'd think that a seventy-tow minute softcore film wouldn't have room for anything but softcore. Oh, how wrong you would be.

Sacred Flesh seems to want to set itself up as a kind of low-rent Decameron, with attempts to weave a couple of different sexually charged plots together. One centers around the Mother Superior (Sally Tremaine in her only screen appearance) of a convent who's seeing blasphemous visions of Mary Magdalene (The Affair of the Necklace's Katrina Bill), who, in these visions, seems to be a crusader against celibacy. (Not that that would be, you know, outré for a hooker.) Magdalene tells the Mother Superior a succession of stories that serve as the frame for various softcore scenes. (Who knew nuns shaved?) The other storyline, which is positively innocent in comparison, deals with Richard, the assistant to the abbott who's come to examine the Mother Superior, and his pursuit of Maid Marion, one of the serving girls at the abbey. (I got the feeling there was supposed to be a great deal more to this storyline, and assumed it ended up on the cutting room floor.) That looked like it actually had some promise--there was certainly a more interesting script in those sections--but I guess wimples and flesh won out.

What was the name of the convent Our Ladies of Silicone Boobs, or Holy Order of Clinique Makeovers. I never new they allowed nuns to get boob jobs and wear more makeup than a Tranny Hooker, and don't forget the French Tips Manicures. But there actually was a story and it was beautifully shot and with the hottest nuns ever so I gave it four stars worth a watch but make sure the kids are well asleep.

About 5 minutes of softcore rubbing and the rest is highly skippable. Found the nun lovin scene goes a lot better with Lucretia My Reflection from Sisters of Mercy. Good for the background of your next goth night, and that's about it.

This was about a bunch of lesbian Nuns who get involved with each other. The head sister is very concerned that they will submit to the sins of the flesh and their souls will be taken over by the evil one. Lots of T & A in this one. But I have faith in my religion so I don't think it was right to portray Nuns of having sex with each other. But when they got naked the whole thing changed! Forget the Nuns! The acting was not that great. How much acting do you need to get naked? See for yourself!
