About the Author

New York Times and USA Today bestselling author, Jessie Evans, gave up a career as an international woman of mystery to write the sexy, contemporary romances she loves to read. She's married to the man of her dreams, and together they're raising a few adorable, mischievous children in a cottage in the jungle. She grew up in rural Arkansas, spending summers running wild, being chewed by chiggers, and now appreciates her home in a chigger-free part of the world even more. When she's not writing, Jessie enjoys playing her dulcimer (badly), sewing the worlds ugliest quilts to give to her friends, going for bike rides with her house full of boys, and drifting in and out on the waves, feeling thankful for sun, surf, and lovely people to share them with.

Robert --AKA Bubba -- is the perfect romantic hero: alpha strong, fiercely loyal, honorable and protective, very loving and with an appealing vulnerable side. Who wouldn't love a man like him?! Marisol had been deeply wounded by past mistakes and betrayals. She wanted and needed Robert's love, but was so afraid of being rejected again that she was terrified to embrace the love and devotion he offered. But Robert was as open, honest, and loving as he seemed and his love for Marisol never wavered when her long-buried secrets were finally revealed. It was a satisfying read. The only things I would've changed was to add a reconciliation with her family, or at least the promise that it would eventually happen. Plus, it would be great if her ex-boyfriend had to pay for what he'd done (even if it happens in a future book). Now, I can't wait for Tulsi and Pike's story!

Absolutely loved Saddles and Sin !!!! Wish I could give it a 10 star review because I'm telling you Bubba stole my heart and I don't see him letting go.

Robert aka "Bubba" is the kind of man you dream about (at least I do ) , he is a gentleman at heart but still knows how to handle his woman so to speak...hint hint.

Torn between taking care of his family and finding his own future can he find love also? You'll have to read it to see but it is worth every last word to find out.

Great read !!!! Jessie Evans rock's this one !!!!

Saddles and Sin (Lonesome Point Texas #2)
By: Jessie Evans
4/5 stars

Robert “Bubba” Lawson is a good ole boy from Lonesome Point, Texas and has been best friends with Ugly Ross, Tulsi and Mia, the heroine from book 1, Leather and Lace. He’s been debating on whether or not to pursue his dream of becoming a country music star and not just someone who sings at the local bar on karaoke night. But his family has been adamantly against anyone pursuing fame or fortune because of his grandfather who abandoned the family in his pursuit and then abandoned his career for a backup singer. Ever since then, the entire family has stayed on the ranch. Though, not feeling born to be a rancher, Bubba got a job as a lineman for the electric company.

Marisol Medina grew up with dreams of being a country music star herself, but had problems finding music producers willing to take a chance on her brand of Chicano-country style of music. So instead, she became an agent and manager for people with music dreams and right now, Bubba is her most promising and talented client. Everything is great, minus the sexual attraction that they feel towards each other.

Marisol has mixed business with pleasure before and it was one of the worst decisions that she made in her life. And ever since then, her family has had nothing to do with her and she vowed to never mix her professional life with pleasure ever again. So she has to work hard at keeping all business with Robert, completely professional.

But when Bubba is needed back home on the ranch, Marisol decides to go with him and work on the music business stuff and the benefit concert for Old Town with Mia in person.

This is the second book in The Lonesome Point series, (all stand alones, with no cliffhangers). We met Robert (Bubba to his friends) in the first book with Mia, as one of her best friends. He has a voice that just invokes sinful pleasure and he has been convinced to give this singing gig a try. His manager had set up some high-profile auditions for him, but when the family ranch is brought to a halt by the flu, he drops everything to return to Lonesome Point. To him, family and friends come before fame and fortune.

Marisol (his manager) has been deeply hurt in the past and no longer has trust in other people, but she is inexplicably drawn to Robert's sexy voice. Bubba takes a chance, when he is being pursued by fans, to grab Marisol and give her a kiss like none she has ever had before. He can tell from her reaction to him that she is into him, but doing her best to deny it and keep their relationship strictly business.

When he tells her he has to leave for Lonesome Point, he knows that she follows him and he intends to use that time to make her see that they can have it all, not just the fame and fortune, but a love that lasts. But can their love survive her past or will it destroy them, along with Robert's chance of a music career?

Again, I loved all the quirky characters and look forward to reading Tulsi and Pike's story next. This series is a must read if you like stories with mystery and a lot of romance.

The second in the series.. however its another stand alone book with no cliffhanger to aggravate you at the end. But when you get to the end, you'll want to keep reading, the series is that good! The second book starts off with Robert, Bubba to his friends, who helped Mia in the first book with her panty raid and proved himself to be an over all good guy, a great friend and fabulous singer. Robert is wanting to persue his singing career, his manager Marisol is wanting to get him signed up for the big times. This is basically their story. Marisol has some skeletens that she'd prefer stayed in the closet, but of course they're going to escape. The budding romance between Robert and Marison, his dedication to his family ranch and his potential career in the big times are fun and interesting to read. This book doesn't have the humor in it the first one does, but overall its a great story. Sex is hot, some bad language, but I've never known a cowboy who didn't use bad language, so it all fits. I'll be reading the third in the series. Totally enjoyable.
