Where have these been all my life?
These were great for what they are designed to do. I don’t really use these as potholders to carry hot food out of the microwave, although it’s great for an elderly relative or a child to use because they’re easy to grip and they’re large and easy to see and you can carry them to the table without spilling or burning yourself with the hot item that you are transporting. For example oatmeal or soup or a hot beverage. I have had these for a couple of months now and washed them in the dish washer and they still look new. I also use them as hot pads for food coming out of the oven and as lids, I don’t ven boiled some veggies in a pot with this on top and they worked great. Very versatile and easy as a quick grab when you’re in the middle of preparing a meal, which is convenient for people who do the cooking. Overall I may even order another set although I wish they came in more colors! Red is pretty though.

I put one in the microwave to keep from banging on the microwave glass plate and I use the other to cover my meals so they don’t splatter the inside of the microwave. Don’t get me wrong paper plates are perfect no cleanup cover but wasteful. I put a little soap on the small one after heating my meals wash it off and it works great. Microwave is clean and the large one protects the plate. I’m sure there are a million and one ways to use them but I love my hot pink ones.
