A month after breaking up with his long-term girlfriend, Eric Dennis decides to go to a gay club one night, something he has wanted to do for a long time. He does not expect much out of the experience: just have one drink and go home. Yet when he meets Mathew Campbell, a very attractive man with an adventurous spirit and a sharp sense of humor, Eric throws all caution to the wind.

Months after their initial encounter, Eric is looking for a personal assistant, and is astonished when Mathew comes in for an interview. A long time has passed since they last saw each other, but the chemistry between them is vibrant as ever. Against his better judgment, Eric hires Mathew, and thus begins a challenge for Eric to keep his personal and professional life from clashing. As Eric’s attraction to Mathew continues to grow, so does the danger of his family, friends, and coworkers finding out the secret that Eric has worked hard to keep hidden for so long.

Loved the way Mr. Booker introduced his characters to make them, not only believable, but also vulnerable. Eric was so unsure of himself in some ways but confident in others. Mathew was pure confidence as well as patient. This was a well developed storyline with an interesting mix of human emotions revolving around straying from the norm. Good editing would have really added, rather than taking away from the flow. However, I still recommend this.

I liked the book. Loved the characters. Wish they were more developed, and the story itself longer. Like how did mom take the news, and what happened at work. Did the other coworkers figure it out? Little bits and pieces like that.

I just did not want this story to end I like the characters they are so interesting and I chuckled a few times at Eric and Mathew's banter, I also felt sad for both of them because Eric's anxiety about what everyone else would think and Mathew wondering what Eric really wanted made the story very interesting and me kept me there with the characters until the end ( which came much too soon), I can't wait for either the next part to Eric and Mathew's story or the next book from this Author!!!

While I did enjoy the story, the fact that there were places where it seemed that words were missing made it annoying to read. I really dislike having to supply words for a sentence to make sense. But if you can overlook that it's a good story.

Well written but a bit slow in character exploration. I enjoyed the perspective of the lead character and thought that the focus on the relationships and not the sex was a good approach to sharing the story.

Once again, I am in the minority and simply do not see how this book garnered so many 5 and 4 star reviews! The writing is really bad. There are typos everywhere, unacceptable grammatical errors and the pacing leaves a lot to be desired. I can't believe there was any formal editing involved. I am glad I didn't pay much for this one! I cannot recommend it and definitely recommend people download the sample first.

Kept me wanting to know what happenes next. NOT over the top but not slow either, new to reading this genre, considering what I've been reading recently, this book was worth every minute.

The MC Eric is not comfortable with his sexuality, and despite a closeted and head in the sand mentality, he actually manages to meet a nice guy. He then treats the guy quite poorly, and Mathew (the guy) is stupid enough to allow it! And there are a lot of words missing, just one word here and there, but rather annoying. I will not recommend this book before serious alterations and personality transplants regarding main characters are completed.

I thought the book was funny but not well written.
I probably would not recommend this book.
This book seems to be written by an amateur.

An easy reading without pretention which could make a good very gay B serie film. Nothing special, nothing fancy, but a easy going love story when you feel like drowning in one....
