I would love to see a metal version of this that will not break. I would be willing to pay $20 for it because by now I have already dropped that much on these locks.
The tabs did stay on but it broke the latch after about the 3rd time, it's not repairable.
Next step will probably be to find something made out of metal that won't break so easily.
Anyway, we ended up finding these and they have worked well--not perfect, but one carton of eggs saved from an out of control toddler is a win--

It didn't work for my fridge, which is a 2-door side by side. When you open one side, the other comes open, and the latch can't hold. It just comes apart.Published 2 months ago by Tim Norton
I bought these in hopes of keeping my 4 yr old autistic son out of the fridge and freezer. The first day they were up he pulled the freezer open ripping the lock off. Read morePublished 3 months ago by Simone
I have to say I've bought Safety 1st products in the past and they've not adhered properly or were just flimsy that any toddler could yank, pull and even figure out how to open. Read morePublished 3 months ago by FlyGirlNikki

I love these locks... we keep buying more of them, which brings me to my second point; they break pretty consistently. Read morePublished 6 months ago by Amanda Schaefer
