The alarm continues to sound until it is reset. I am using this for my puppy. He fell in the water after I ordered it but before getting it. Luckily I was in the pool and pulled him out. It is for my piece of mind. It is sensitive so a run through the sprinklers does set it off.

The safety turtle pool alarm is a great way to provide a level of protection for young children where a pool is concerned. I gave this item 5 stars because it performs exactly as advertised and was easy to use.
So far this item seems to be the answer for a worried Grandma. I don't think they explain well enough about the different colors of the bracelet and we are trying to coordinate two families. Also it would be great if they would add a little band that you could tuck the extra length of the wrist band. It is loud and reacts very quickly.
