Anyhow, the prefilters definitely save ya money on having to buy more canisters. The canisters save your lungs and the prefilters save the canisters. All in all, a great combination of fit, function and price. No complaints.......just don't try and clean the prefilters. Lol
I love my MSA mask that these fit. Everything is very much quality. What can I say, this is just a respirator filter set. It works, isn't junk and is priced fine. Everything was easy to wipe down, that is meant to be wiped down (see directions that say do not try to clean the cotton prefilters) and everything fits, snaps together just fine.
Besides you never know when you'll need one when the zombie attack happens, best be prepared. ;)
I can detect a hint of the odor through them but very faint. After I take them off, the actual smell in the area, in my clothes, etc, is enough to choke you. So yeah, they definitely do their stated job. I also used a pair on a painting job with a very odorous solvent. These also performed well in that arena.
I only wish they had some visible indicator suggesting when to change the filter/cartridge (the pre-filter's pretty obvious of course).
These are perfect replacements, for my 10 year old MSA respirator. I do not smell smoke, even though I am standing in a cloudy haze.
