A great general purpose oil

I actually bought this for use seasoning and rust-proofing my cast iron cookware, because its technically a "drying oil", similar to flaxseed oil, but without the rapid spoilage. However, it has turned out to be quite a nice oil to work with in general. High smoke point (450F), smoke isn't too acrid or pungent if you go above that, no noteworthy smell or taste, doesn't seem to go rancid easily, lighter and less viscous than canola or vegetable oil (at least in my opinion). While totally irrelevant, one other nicety is that sunflower oil is apparently high in vitamin E, so it feels pretty good on your skin if you get any on your hands. Literally my only complaint is that the cap on the bottle feels flimsy after you unseal it. Apart from that, its definitely earned a spot in my cupboard!

Please, please, I beg you, if you care about yourself and your health, please DO NOT buy this product. Used it in my cooking twice, different dishes, and it releases some very strange substance that sticks to everything it touches and never comes off. Never! I used different dish soaps and even de-greasers; nothing! It sticks to your baking tray or pan, forever. And even your hands, for days, no matter how hard you scrub them. And the sponges? Become completely drenched in that substance and you have to toss away them at once. This thing should be illegal, where's the FDA when we need it?

Quality Sunflower Oil at a great price. I like this oil for specific types of salad dressing where a very light oil works well. Once mixed into a salad dressing, this oil doesn't seem to separate when chilled like some oils tend to do. The bottle is sort flimsy like a bottled water bottle. I transfer the oil into a good glass oil bottle for storage. Well worth the price for a quality sunflower oil.

this product is a good oil, but the bottle it is in is a problem I tried to open the top on the bottle it would not open , I had to fight to get to pull so I could open it plus oil exploded every where, if you are elderly or handicapped do not buy this product because you will not be able to get the top off and you will have a mess to clean up.

This sunflower oil had a lovely light flavor. It was great for frying and as an added oil in making vegan butter. The only this is you have to be careful when you open and closed the lid. The lid is very shallow and thin so you have to make sure that you push until you feel and hear a snap.
