Editorial Reviews

Over the course of the last three decades, Saga remains one of the leading bands in melodic progressive rock music. Albums like Silent Knight, Heads Or Tales and Worlds Apart are milestones in the history of refined rock music and still haven't lost any of their magic. The current double CD / double DVD of Worlds Apart Revisited contains a full live concert recording (from Pratteln, Switzerland, December 8th, 2005) and features a cross-section track list culled from albums throughout their entire career. Moreover, it presents the worldwide extraordinary and successful album Worlds Apart performed live in its entirety, as well as other exclusive live recordings and interviews from the 80s as bonus material. Available as a double CD, a double DVD version and limited edition in a lavish cover packaging containing the 2DVDs and 2CDs. As well, all versions are packaged with an extensive new booklet.

Since I live in Switzerland I had the opportunity to see this gig live.
It was really good and I had much fun.
I waited for the release of the dvd for a long time.
When I read about the release I immediately bought a copy of it and was
really amazed since the details of the music (obviously) couldn't be heard live.
I made the dvd a birthday present for my friend (who also was at the concert). His first comment: I'm frustrated! Frustrated because now I really hear and see what they are playing - I will stop playing my instrument ;-).
After that I bought another copy - to own one too - again :-)
The quality of sound and video is really great - everything is nearly absolutely synchrone.
What else can I say?
If you like Rock, Progrock and like to see and to hear musicians who really know their instrument - get it!

By the way, Saga just lost the singer Michael Sadler since he quit the band due to private reasons.
This dvd will let the band unforgotten.

This is a great DVD that features the entire World's Apart album and that would be enough. However there is a lot more including gems like Careful Where You Step, Humble Stance and a host of other great tracks. The band is in great form and they put on a great show. I really wish I could see them live but I seriously doubt they will ever get down this south. The whole package is nice including CDs of the concert and great photos. It's also amazing to see Saga of the early 80s in the Live in England segment. Excellent package Inside Out!

I've seen a few clips from the dvd on Youtube earlier, but I didn't realize it was from this dvd. I was very happy when I found out. Saga made an 2 hours long concert with absolute top performance on every track. I would, however, be more satisfied if the use of electronic drums on the whirling drum part midway through 'Framed'. I think Brian Doerner is a very good drummer, actually I prefer him to Steve Negus. Michael Sadler is communicating very well with the audience, I like that when I'm on any concert myself. It's less personal when the musicians just carry on with their tracks and hardly noticing that they have an audience. Saga is very good on communication when they're on tour. Keep on like this, guys! I've had the pleasure of being at two of their concerts in Oslo i 2011 og 2012, and I'm coming back again. The other dvd contains roadstories, very fun! Some views from concerts in 1981-1983 are also added, and also some pictures. The videos from their early concerts show Steve Negus as a very good drummer, but sometimes he seems to be uninspired - rather boring drumming. The cd contains the material which are on the first dvd (from the 2005-concert). I'm glad I came across this package - no, I'm so extremely happy! Listening to the very good material, and all the variations on the guitar work from the fabulous Ian Crichton!
