Carlie has had enough scandal in her young life to make anyone skeptical, but she has to hold her head up - she has a son to raise. Joseph has his own issues also, but he can't stay away from her.
These two have to work on their own issues in order to make a relationship work. Can they do it? I don't know, but I think they can do it. At least, I hope so.
This is my first read by this author, I enjoyed it. Very good read.
keeps many of them going. The age factor does not present a problem like it once did, but it depends on the couple.
Carlie and Jo together are a hoot and a half of fun! They really are.
Even the supporting characters: Carlie's son, her mother, her best friend, and Joseph's brother were very likeable.
I'm mostly definitely looking forward to more of this series and hope Carlie and Joseph make a cameo appearance in the later books. They are definitely a couple that needs revisiting. :)
Carlie has returned to Honeywell after things go sour with her Hollywood career and Joseph is back to try to repair the damage from past decisions he has made.
Joseph has his sights set on Carlie and is determined to make her his by any means neccessary. But Carlie wants no parts of his plan because she doesn't want to be the topic of town gossip. But no matter how far she tries to run from it, it always manages to catch up to her.
Danielle Burton writes romance with real life issues. No fairy tales here. This was a quick fun read and I really enjoyed the book. I definitely look forward to reading more books by this author.
The chemistry between Carlie and Joseph was one to desired. And, the bond between Joseph and Jahmir was one to be admired. Sibling love, surely can overcome all.
This story captured and held my attention from the first to the very last page and left me wanting more. A real page turner, definitely a cuddle under the blanket with some snacks, read straight through kind of story.
Although there were some very minimal errors and a little formatting issue, it DID NOT take away from the story one bit.
He Said, She Said was a first read for me by this author, but it surely won't be my last. Great job, Ms. Burton 👏👏👏 I look forward to reading more of your work.
