About the Author
Cindy Michaud is an accomplished artist and a published writer. Lately she has been combining the two skills to produce unique books of interest primarily to women. Following the success of "She Knew, Finally," Cindy collaborated on several other projects before starting the illustrations for "Sainted & Painted." Paying tribute to women who inspired her by painting their portraits as if they were saints moved her to write their stories and, with their permission, publish them all together as a book. Both books can be ordered at Creatspace.com, Amazon.com, or from the author's website: www.cindymichaud.com.

In Sainted & Painted, Michaud honors 12 women and their traits, such as generosity, dedication, wisdom, curiosity, etc. Each explanation as to why these individuals qualify for sainthood in their area of expertise is delivered with a good mix of wisdom and humor to make each memorable.
These descriptions are meant to touch the lives of the readers and stick. Michaud has reached her goal on that note. I know, for example, when I think of dedication and determination, I will forever think of Saint Denette of the Determined.
In addition to the witty and touching text of this book, Michaud has also filled it with beautiful, whimsical and colorful portraits of each of those sainted.
I highly recommend this book. In a world that is often prone to cynicism, it is refreshing to encounter an uplifting book such as this. It will make the perfect gift for friends and family.
