i ordered these shrimp after i was trying to look for a place to buy these because they look amazing! the shrimp came pretty quick in my opinion i had 14 that came with only 1 dead the next day! only thing is to order if your not in a cold area i ordered at this time which is winter here in New York and also just keep a lookout if you dont want snails in your tank because the plant that came with the shrimp had eggs i guess and dont be surprised if the shrimp are clear theyll get their color back in a few days so no worries i would definately order from here again!

The shrimp I received were fine. Not microscopic, but small which I prefer. They had little color on arrival but with time colored up fairly well. Not as deep red or as much leg color as the pictured shrimp, but some of the females were above average. With shipping they were more than I would normally pay, but I was in need of some new blood, so no real complaints.
***UPDATED BELOW: Feb. 2014
The review I posted above was for shrimp I purchased in March 2013, at that time from a seller in NY called "Closetstock". They were NOT from this seller, InvertObsession.
I have increased it to a 5 star review because Amazon links old reviews to particular items, not the seller, which in most cases is fine. With live animals however, it is not.
I have since purchased cherry shrimp from this seller (you can read my review of those under the 5 quantity of cherry shrimp listing) and the quality and packing was exceptional, and far superior to what I received from ClosetStock.

While the sellers are absolutely lovely to add 3 more than I ordered, and I received berried females as well, I do have some serious problems in my tank now.

After 4 days of settling my shrimps, I found 2 shrimps with an increasing growth of a green, fluffy growth on them. NOT eggs. My tank had no other shrimps and only one pleco so it can't be from my own tank.

After some research, it appears that those are a contagious parasite called "Ellobiopsis sp." that has no known cure for. I'm afraid now.
I'm quarantining those 2 shrimps in a big glass jar since I don't have a second tank, but they appear normal so far. Not very active though.

Also, those shrimps aren't exacly fire red as in the pictures. More of a transculent red that the deep red, but I personally don't really mind.
So buy these shrimps at your own risk I guess. I'm still waiting on response from the sellers. I would love to cure them and update my review...

So, I ordered these and received more then half of them DOA. Though I strongly feel it was not the sellers fault but the heat wave we are currently having in my state. I took pictures and Emailed the sellers and was responded to in less then 24 hours being notified they were very sorry and would replace all shrimp with out extra charge. The one who did survive the first shipment were healthy, lively and nice and red. I have no doubt they are healthy shrimp and the seller was not at fault for their death. Will be buying more from them in the future.

The seller did a great job raising these strong little fellas (and ladies)... so well there wasn't a single DOA! Thank you for the bonus fry... I'll be back to see your other breeds as you add them to your offering. Very cool!

Do not put these in your tank!!!
They are full of illness and diseases.
I got 3 of them with some green fungus growing on them. They will infect your whole tank and kill all your shrimp!
