I have conflicted opinions on this pen, the ink itself is very consistent but the shade of the ink is not black, it looks more like a dark shade of grey. I have the micron brush pen, and the ink for that is much darker and looks bolder. So the ink flow is great but its not a perfect bold black, if that is what you wanted. The actual brush nibs are really nice, the smaller the nib, the less flexible it is but the nibs are super nice.

Decent, but not amazing

While these pens were good, they weren't the Sakura quality that I'm used to. I didn't press hard on the middle brush, just used it for some calligraphy, and already the felt tip looks abused and crooked, and I'm unable to get it back to the shape it was in originally. It must be very flimsy, because I was careful with it. But the FB (the finer brush) is great for small lines when you want a brush effect, and the BB (biggest one) is great for shading in larger areas. I just wasn't happy with the quality of the medium one, which is the one I would use the most. But on the bright side, the Pentel Pocket Brush Pen is roughly the same size and is AMAZING, so it's a good replacement (with real brush bristles instead of felt). This purchase was worth it, but if you're a Micron/Gelly Roll/Koi Watercolor fan and love Sakura's quality, I didn't think that these were up to par with those.

I am pretty satisfied with these pens, using them primarily for inking line art.

The three different sizes are useful, particularly the smallest brush, which is great for the fine details. They are waterproof and work well with watercolor, marker, and ink. The lines blur very slightly on absorbent paper.

My one qualm is with the caps. They tend to fall off very easily inside a pencil case, particularly the smallest brush, and dry out. I was able to revive it by re-capping, but it is definitely more dry than before.

Overall, I'd buy these again.

Ones much since I’m working in a small book so next time I’ll just order the fine ones but they’re all great!

These are the best pen brushes made to date... especially the fine brush!!! Finally, a ink brush pen for that has a "fine aka very detailed flexible brush tip that snaps back!!!!!" They sell the individual sizes in 2 packs. Load up on some fine brushes if you are a detailed inking artist or comic book artist. This 3 pack gives you some really nice size variants from super fine details to large weighted lines and/or filling in areas of space.
I dare say, this pen (the Fine Brush pen) is even better than the Faber-Castell Pitt Brush Pens for fine details.

These are my first ever brush pens and I'm super happy with them. I got them to practice hand lettering as I'm a complete beginner. I think they are a good set to get if you are confused or overwhelmed as to what pens or sizes to get. You can really experiment with these sizes until you discover what you really like. I did not have the issue of dry tips like some others had. Probably old or bad batches, but there are ways to manually refill these kinds of pens, so don't be too quick to dispose of them. I quickly tested them on a piece of scrap paper and noticed some feathering/bleeding ever so very slightly. Don't know if it was the fault of the pen or paper. Not a big deal to me either way. I actually liked it. Some complained about the colour of the ink. Mine was a nice rich, but matte black.

I have always loved Caligraphy brush pens. When used with Canson lay-out bond,they trip the line fantstic. I use these lovelies anytime I want the effect of paint but the simplicity of a pen. No mess, no brush loading, no clean up. Just pop the cap and lay brush to paper. This brand has it all. Nicely loaded ink pad, not too much, not too little just right, no bears of ink blobs and enough ink to satisfy Goldilocks. Great for loose hand watercolor style, (Hello Antonio Lopez), fashion illustration. Wonderful for making popular handwritten fonts you can sell on CreativeMarket or for just making some gorgeous Japanese caligraphy. Kudos again to Prime for lightening fast delivery!
