Saltwash™ is a product, invented to create a unique weather worn, layered sun and salt air soaked look in just two quick steps. Saltwash™ is made with real sea salt, so you will notice it dries quicker and adheres to almost any surface that takes paint. It was designed to be mixed into any brand or type of paint and used as the base coat. When mixed to the desired consistency, it can be applied to almost any surface that takes paint. Originally intended for furniture, Saltwash™ also has found to give a unique look to walls, flooring, metal and even plastic. Tips Use differing paint colors for the Salt wash coat and final coat to give contrast and really show the layers of paint. Using a higher gloss or Satin finish for the final coat adds to an authentic look as if it was salvaged from an old beach cottage... back when oil and lead paints were used ;) Try multiple layers of Salt wash to add more interest. A light coat of wax in a brown tone will add to an authentic vintage look.

Second, this was in an impossibly tricky paper can with metal lid that I had to open increment by increment with needle nose pliers...and I still spilled some! I ended up transferring it to a jar.
Third, my can had absolutely no measuring scoop.
It did work. That's something!
Yes - it's that awesome. The variety of things you can do with it is awesome. You must try this!
