So there are definitely 2 kinds of people. Those who swear by a neck pillow for travel and those who think these kinds of things are stupid and worthless. I was firmly in the latter category and was certain I wouldn't really use it and it would just be one more thing to lug through the airport. Enter this pillow.... This neck pillow with its ability to also be a regular pillow is awesome. The microbead contents make it easy to change the firmness by shifting beads around and it is lightweight with a clip making it easy to just stick to my backpack and go. This pillow is so good my husband stole the first one and this is the 3rd one I have purchased (this time as a gift). All 3 of differing ages have held up beautifully and get used regularly.

Soft cover, flexible uses, but not perfect

I really like the soft fuzzy side. I wanted to love this pillow for its versatility. It transforms easily between neck and small rectangular pillow. I dragged it abroad for a month, slept with it most nights and used on planes and long driving days. I think I’m just not thrilled with the foam beads inside. Under pressure, they’re not soft, too firm. Too hard for a small back pillow. Since it doesn’t compress, it takes up more room than I’d like. I’d add a snap to the tips of the neck area so it stays on the neck or to better attach to luggage. The hook is a great idea, but the shape and size isn’t quite right for attaching to my backpack loop or carryon. As a neck pillow, it was comfortable but prone to slipping off due to silky fabric on the lower half - the way I used it because I wanted the fuzzy side by my face.

I’m very dissatisfied. Return window closed yesterday, but this is not a good product. I bought it bead of a trip but when I opened it on the plane, it was not supportive. The neck nook is too short—and I am an average-size female. Perhaps mine has too little filling, but it is certainly less useful/convenient than my older inflatable one. I will call to see if if they will take this back since maybe it is defective. I should have opened it earlier. It’s highly rated on Buzzfeed and other lists, but I wish I had paid a little more to be sure to have comfort on my 11-hour flight. ....That said, it looks very nice.

I bought this pillow because I mistook it for another brand. The other brand is a 2-word patriotic name of another luggage company. This one functions as well as the other, but it it makes my neck itch. I am not sure what component causes this but it is annoying.
Since I had planned all along to make cloth washable covers for it, I am not going to send it back, but be aware of this potential problem, and perhaps look for the other brand.

Second one I have owned, and I love it even if it is a little bulky for airplane travel. The clip should be bigger and is only accessible in the neck support configuration. The clip isn't big enough to clip on suitcase, backpack or purse. I am going to replace it with a carabiner clip that will be accessible in both configurations. THEN it will be perfect and rate 5 stars!

Terrific idea, execution is terrible. The beans need force to position when formed into a neck pillow but then won't move without significant pressure to that spot. Great if you want to induce headaches from pressure points. Same thing happens in the pillow mode. This product needs to work more like a bean bag from college which was soft and flexible to slightest pressure. They were great for napping in the dorm.

I'd had another Samsonite pillow like this for several years that has disappeared, so I purchased this to replace it. It'd not nearly as cool as the previous, in fact I find my nape gets very warm on this pillow. Also, it's not as firm as the previous, perhaps just not filled as full?
It is better than nothing I suppose, but it is not supportive and the material retains body heat too much to make it comfortable.

I love this pillow for traveling. When I left my last one on the plane I was so disappoi Ted because I wasn't sure where I'd find a replacement but this one is exactly like the one I left behind. The stuffing in the pillow adds extra support and holds it shape well. The filling is like little foam beads that you'd find in a bean bag. It's very soft and very comfortable. Keeping it in the pillow shape is much better than the neck pillow shape. Great pillow!
