One of the spinner wheels came off while wheeling the bag through the airport parking lot on the way to our first trip with the bag (8 days after purchase). As I changed directions, the spinner wheel "drug sideways" briefly and the wheel stripped off is axle. There was nothing extreme about how the bag was being rolled when the wheel came off.
Samsonite refused to replace the wheel under warranty because I could not *prove* that it was not damaged due to misuse.
So, I was stuck with paying $21.25 for a replacement wheel, nearly 1/4 the cost of the whole bag.
Note: The additional gashes on the wheel assembly in the photo came from continuing to use the bag with a broken wheel for the rest of the trip. The original damage was the wheel simply "falling off".

This is one nice bag. It does scratch but I think it gives the bag some character. I checked it and it made it through 6 different airplanes to India and back and still rolls like a dream. It is expandable so i could pack for a week with ease and the locking mechanism is cool. Great purchase since it is close to $300 at Macys.

Aguantó mucho movimiento entre trenes, buses y aviones. En el primer vuelo que lo usé no sé qué clase de trato le dieron porque en la parte de arriba al frente, le quedó una marca como de que lo aplastaron, pero no sufrió ningún daño.
Las rueditas no hacen mucho ruido en las calles, como otras que rebotan con cualquier cosa y suenan como que va un tractor en la cuadra.
Quedé muy a gusto con la compra.
