This product arrived the afternoon prior to taking off for 3 week trip with small luggage. It worked unbelievably well. We were going from temps in the 20s to 70s. The product does work the best on puffy things such as polar fleece, down and wool but even t-shirts, socks and underwear benefited from using these compression bags. This is the new way to travel for me. I would totally recommend using these and you will get the hang and tricks from using them. The one weak point is the plastic zip thing so don't lose it. We didn't as we were very careful. and if you do lose one, you can use the zip from any of the other bags, even those in use. This is one great packing invention that helped make our trip a success. Honestly.

I am very happy with these bags. I'm using the two smaller sizes to compress my clothes to fit into my carry-on. I had previously rolled all my clothes and my carry-on was full. After compression with these bags, my carry-on was half-filled. I was a bit skeptical before buying because I read some of the negative reviews, but the performance and price on these is perfect.

The only thing that could be improved is giving the option to buy the various sizes individually.... I don't see myself ever using the jumbo sized bags, or even the suitcase sized ones. The carry-on size and pouch size are exactly what I needed.

Followup: I also bought a pair of very similar Eagle Creek compression bags. The Eagle Creek bags leaked air in after a couple of days, while the Samsonite did not. So, with Eagle Creek I got 1 carry-on size and 1 full-size luggage bag for $10. With Samsonite, I got 12 bags at for $20. So Samsonite all the way here. I'll followup again after my trip to report on durability. But I'll be very happy if they make it on 1 long international roundtrip.

It was as expected. My friend and I got these for a week-long trip and they worked well. The fact that they are clear is helpful and that you roll the air out because we were able to open and close them many time throughout the week.

The downside is that the little plastic pieces that you use to close the bags fall off and you will lose them. We each ended up tossing one each in our makeup bags. You can seal the bags without the tool but it definitely makes it easier.

The other issue I found is sometimes when you are rolling the bag you are also pushing the clothes up and then they start going over the opening so you are awkwardly kneeling on your rolled clothes while trying to push them back in enough to seal the bag. It would be nice if it actually had a small hold that the air when out of so you can seal the top and then roll it slowly and close the small hole. (In my head this makes sense not sure if I am explaining myself clearly haha)

So at first I was a bit skeptical but I decided why not try? I have a three week trip out of the country and I needed two weeks worth of clothes. So yeah, that's TWO WEEKS WPRTH OF CLOTHES with room for shoes, towel and more!! Its crazy and I'm liking it. I usually have to bring two checked suitcases but that's not even needed. I will update on durability and more after my three week trip :)
Update:
It definitely stayed put, I came home with the plastic bags filled with clothes again and they were just as helpful so for the three weeks they were durable. I wish it came with more of the vacuum sealed ones but I guess I'll just have to buy it again if I need more.

So these are a little quirky, but they work great for what I needed them for -- commuting and having compression bags I could just beat up. They come with two HUGE ones -- I didn't realize just how huge these larger two were, but they're great! You can always just fill up the bottom half of a huge one and compress the air out of the whole thing to make it as big/small as you need it. Good beater bags. They have actually lasted a while now, and I didn't really expect them to, so that's great! I use them all the time, and so far haven't had any problems at all with them.

I'm sure vacuum compression bags take a wee bit more air out, and with much less energy. They were what we were originally going to buy. But then we realized - we needed more space in our suitcase - not our storage. Even if we compress prior to leaving, how would we guarantee a vacuum when we were headed back home?

So we bought these. There's an awful lot you can pack with 12 of these babies, and I ended up packing less because I was so amazed that I fit most of what I wanted in a carry on as opposed to the max-size luggage.

Definitely recommend!

These are good quality compression bags. They're nowhere near the strength and durability of the Eagle Creek compression bags that I use for travel, but the amount of bags you get in this set is a very good value. And I use these in a storage closet, so they don't have to be as durable.

My first use was to organize my linen closet. All of my sheet sets are sorted into their own bags (the medium and large sizes) and compressed. I added an index card labeling the size of the sheet set so it's easy to grab the right one every time. In the XL ones I have large quilts and bulky blankets. I used the vacuum hose on those, and they worked well. I went from a full closet to over half empty, with the same contents.

I'm about to purchase my next set to keep our off-season clothes put away and organized. I don't know how these would work out for repeated use and abuse of traveling, but for storage and organization they're fantastic.

Me sorprendieron de verdad estas bolsas, sobre todo por su practicidad, y el hecho de que de pueden usar (la mayoría) sin necesidad de aspiradora. Ha sido un gran auxiliar en los viajes que realizamos casi cada semana a visitar a familiares. Estuve buscando muchas muchas opciones y sin lugar a dudas está fue la mejor, lo único que me gustaría es que vinieran más bolsas de tamaños pequeños y medianos, yo creo comprare otras. OJO no llene demasiado las bolsas porque al forzarlas se pueden romper.

Había yo comprado anteriormente de la marca lider (zip), y comparando con estas, cumplen muy bien, el costo es más bajo. Son ligeramente más delgadas, la zona del cierre es perfecto y considero de la misma calidad de las de marca líder, la zona de salida de aire es diferente (menos salidas), pero en conjunto excelente producto por el precio pagado. La presentación con 12 piezas me parece suficiente y hasta sobra. Yo las compré para guardar ropa de invierno (underwear, bufandas, gorros y guantes) y reservé unas para la maleta de viaje.

These for traveling are invaluable creating at least double the space. We used these going to Ireland and Vegas and they worked like a charm. No vacuum necessary. They take no space to store and keeps things organized. Would not travel by air without them. (Watch your weight of your luggage because they allow you to pack a lot more stuff and there is still weight limits with luggage with the airlines).
