I had several big trips this spring and decided to spring for a bigger suitcase. The large size is large but it is SO LIGHT!!! I like the straps that hold clothes in, the zippered pockets, and the full zip half closure. I took a four star off for the wheels. They are OK but not near as good as my husband's Tumi or my smaller Hartmann. They roll like a dream. Of course those brands are MUCH more expensive than this Samsonite. It does OK but gets caught on things and can be difficult. It may be the large size of this suitcase. I really like the looks of the suitcase. I wanted the red/orange but chose the gray because it will camouflage inevitable airport scuffs better.

Love this suitcase. It's light and the wheels are so smooth. After using this suitcase to go to China came back 1month later and the zipper broke as I was loading it into the car. Not too happy any more. Want my money back!

I travel weekly and go though suitcases fast. First trip with this was last week and go far so good. Handle is sturdy is wheels move freely.

This is definitely a step up from the pleb level of luggage that can be purchased from Wally Mart.
This suitcase looks stunning and has a lot of capacity. What it does lack are compartments.
It has a separate area for dirty clothes and that's just great, but there are only 2 small sized pockets for toiletries.
So if you buy this you may want to consider purchasing some storage inserts to accompany it.
Additional note: Ths handle feels a little wobbly. Time will tell if it breaks or not, but it does come with a 10 year warranty.

My wife and I just bought a set of these for our trip to Jamaica. Until this point we always used fabric luggage bags. These are an excellent upgrade with lots of usable space and durable material. We were easily able to hold two sets of scuba fins and masks along with everything else we needed to take.
The cases are light weight and heavy duty.
The zipper lock is a nice feature and easy to set with the directions.
The wheels rolled freely and with never pushed a specific direction.
We had no issues with anything breaking but we did get some scuffs from the luggage handling. Knowing how ANY bags are handled, that is to be expected.
The only thing I wish they had was a small handle on the bottom so it is easier to pick up with two hands.

Other reviews talk about how easy it is to scratch and damage the exterior. Well, mine arrived pre-scratched, with large gouges in several places, some of them so deep that cracks are beginning to form. Also had a ton of stickers on it that were not easy to take off, needed to scrape and wash it. Extremely unhappy with the purchase, you're better off flushing $100 down the toilet.
**Update** I returned the damaged product and got a new one. It was clear the first one was just packaged very poorly. The new one came with a cover, padding and the stickers came off no problem. I actually really like it. Plenty of room to travel with everything I needed for a professional conference with gear for fun on the night/weekends and extra space for souvenirs. I got a lot of compliments on it at the airport and the TSA lock was nice. I got the slip saying they opened it and not having a broken lock is always a plus when you get screened. Still not meant to be banged around...has some scuffs and scratches after the first trip but I'm satisfied now and will use it again. Went from 1 to 3 stars. Product itself would probably be 4 stars if I didn't have the hassle, with the ease of scratching being the only flaw.

Very happy with the purchase. It looks like very good quality. Took one overseas trip so far and there was no damage whatsoever. The wheels are excellent and roll very easily. Hoping it will hold up well over the years.

Bought this for my son and the whole family loved it! The color is where I was worried the most- in the picture it was such a nice shade, I guess of some sort of blue lol, and in person it was exactly the same! Sometimes in person it's darker or lighter, but this was just like the picture, which really is a nice, different color you don't normally see on luggage.
Excellent suitcase that is the quality you come to expect from Samsonite. My son is a senior in high school, and going on his first solo trip this summer, so I wanted him to go in style. Very happy with this purchase for him.

Took two of these on a four week European vacation. They went on six flights and a cruise without a single problem. Very lightweight and easy to handle. Although the zippers are showing no signs of wear or problems I am ordering a set of $8.99 luggage straps proactively to ease any possible stress during future trips.
The suitcase colors (we bought a blue and a purple) are attractive and easy to distinguish from the sea of black luggage that sails down the baggage chutes. Our experience is that they are lightweight, roomy, durable and problem free. Pretty much I hope for from a piece of luggage!
