Can be confusing...Hope this helps.
The battery is exactly like the original one you get with your Galaxy S II from AT&T from what I can tell. It has the NFC capabilities and lasts for about the same amount of time. (It also takes about the same amount of time to charge, either charging through the phone or the external charger.)
The external battery charger, at slightly longer than 4", 1/2" tall and a little over 2.25" wide, is nice and compact. The cover over the spare battery closes flush with the rest of the charger, so it won't easily open when I throw it in my purse.
The cover kind of "clicks" into the open or close position, so it won't shift when you use it as a stand for your phone. The stand is made to fit the phone without a case. However, I use the flexible TPU case on my phone, and I just stand the phone on top rather than in the groove and it leans against the kickstand. As long as noone pushes it over on my desk, it's pretty stable. (If you don't have a case, the phone will fit into the groove and you don't need to use the kickstand.)
The charger has non-slip grip things built into the four corners on the bottom of the charger, so it doesn't slide around on your desk. However, this doesn't prevent that loud my-phone-is-vibrating-on-my-desk noise. It's slightly softer than if you were putting your phone directly on the desk, but still audible from the adjacent cubicle.
The usb charger:
The charger also comes with a micro usb wall outlet charger. It works perfectly fine, and has about a 3 or 4 foot long cord, but I choose not to use this. I just use my existing usb charger that came with the phone, so it's one less cord to carry around :)
The battery provided in this package is a genuine original Samsung battery with NFC. It is (as far as I can tell) the exact same battery as the one in the phone. So that's 5/5 for the battery, even though it is not "high capacity".
The charger itself is also very good. It accepts a standard micro-USB cable which will allow for it to work with a variety of chargers and devices (Both 500mA and 700mA). This is especially important because what I can do now is keep the charger in my car to charge the spare battery, and have it ready whenever I need it! But that's not all! The charger also functions as a stand for the phone. (That's what the grommet is for.) So 5/5 for the charger.
If you own a Galaxy S II and is out and about a lot, I strongly recommend you buy this. Everything is genuine Samsung and you have no worries about compatibility.
This is a great little external battery charger for the AT&T Galaxy S2. It is very small, light, trivially easy to use, and suitable for either desktop or travel use. The charger can be powered by either the supplied wall wart, or a micro-USB cable running off a computer (e.g., laptop). Since the LED changes from red (charging) to green (complete), I believe that the battery can be left in the charger indefinitely.
Other than the LED color choices noted in other reviews, the one design flaw is the slot on the front for use as a stand. It works fine when the phone has no case, but if the slot was only 1-2 mm wider it would also work great with a thin case (the phone would merely 'lean' back more without a case). My Seidio case barely fits in the slot, but is unfortunately not stable. So I only use this 'charger with stand' as a charger, not a desktop stand.
