Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.

I waited a while to write a review because I wanted to make sure everything was working (I bought this in January of 2019). It has been one of the best things I have ever purchased! The computer is very durable and sturdy. Some people complain that it's missing some of the functions, like a capslock, which can be somewhat annoying sometimes. Personally, I don't find it to be a big deal. The computer can handle a decent amount of things without slowing down. I constantly have numerous tabs up, many of which are YouTube. It's so easy to run and use. I love taking notes with it because it is so small and portable. I will say, this computer is not built for games or editing of any kind. It is a simple computer. That being said, I feel like it's more capable than other computers in this price range. If you are considering purchasing it, I would do it. Honestly, I have not had any issues with this computer whatsoever. I cannot recommend it enough!
It’s a good computer. Some of the windows compatibility features for word/PowerPoint etc aren’t all that intuitive but they do work fine. I bought this for my wife as she is a teacher and since it’s right toward the end of the year she had to sort of use it alongside our other laptop because of those issues. Otherwise, next year she will produce her content just on this computer so it should be much better. Only knock I have beside that is it’s advertised as “2019 newest” and the label on it when we got it says “2017 newest”. I don’t know that there’s a different but that does seem misleading a bit.
I do everything I formerly did with my Windows laptop, and for 1/6 the price. Google productivity software works the same as Big name fruit and glass pane people's stuff, and Chrome was my preferred browser anyway. I bought a 15" touchscreen Chromebook but found it more screen than I needed for truly quick and portable computing. I have the larger model to my college bound daughter and use the smaller one all over my house.
I'm not really nocking the brand as much as I am Chrome OS. If your plan is just to web surf and watch online videos, you may enjoy this laptop. I like to do stuff like basic video editing and a handful of other none web-based things. Cons are picture quality from this laptops monitor reminded me of earlier flat Televisions where things would blur from an angle. I appeared to have loaded music had a hard time getting it to play, loaded apps that were meant for a cell phone to find them not able to do anything, load the Opera web browser from the Google Play store to find it loaded the mobile version of websites and trying to load Linux without really getting anywhere. I will say the sound quality is decent enough in a quietish environment. I think the physical build quality is good for this price class, but watch out for the monitor. Makes artifacts on the screen from your fingers if you open or close it from somewhere other than the edge.
I received it today and I must say This does not live up to the Samsung I know. After carefully unpacking and reading all of the literature I was ready to charge it. Literally impossible because the tiny little metal stem that the charger fits over was shoved up into the top of the hole. Needless to say I called immediately and whoever it was I talked to took care of crediting my account and placing an order for a replacement to be delivered in 2 days. (not the 1 day that Amazon delivered the original one) If all goes well with that one, I will place a favorable review, though hesitantly. I did not choose to give it a one star, but it seems I had to to submit this review
Absolutely regret buying a Chromebook. At least this one anyway. Ever since I got it, nothing but issues, and even though I send a bug report every single day, sometimes twice now 3 times a day, they've sent out upfldates yet no fixes for the issues that's been WIDELY reported! One daily, and now, May 26, 2019, it's up to 3 times a day, it will disconnect from Bluetooth for absolutely NO reason. Turning Bluetooth off, waiting and turning it back on does nothing. Because, once this happens, you CAN NOT turn it back on. You have to stop EVERYTHING you're doing, and reboot. It will NOT turn back on otherwise. It used to be it only happened once every 24 hrs since January. Now, it's up to THREE TIMES an a 24 hr period. I've reported it daily, as have other people. They do not address it. If Bluetooth connection is a must for you, as it is for me because I'm hard of hearing, and NEED the external speakers because the sound is not very good on this thing, SKIP the chromebook. It's a WELL KNOWN ISSUE, and it's happening with E ERY BRAND OF CHROMEBOOK. Second issue they refuse to address.... The curser just disappears suddenly. There is no rhyme or reason. You'll be moving it fine one minute and the next.... You can't find it AT ALL. Also a known issue. Also widely reported across all brands. Also NOT fixed in the at least 3 system updates since I got mine in January. If I were you, I'd skip the chromebook until they start fixing known issues. If they know about these, and won't fix them even though they are SMALL issues... What bigger ones coming up will they also ignore?? Biggest regret purchase in years.
