Changed my review to 5 stars, new screen arrived today (unbroken, interestingly it was packaged differently, the first time it was in one of those folded over cardboards like they put games in, this time it was in an internal cardboard box with vivo on it that was sealed) hooked it up (I keep bending the little gold prong due to user error when I try to slot them together ~_~) screwed it in, clipped the plastic facade back on and it booted up perfectly. No errors, no dead pixels, you'd never know that I'd replaced it. I'd definitely recommend this to people who want to replace their screen (you will need a #00 size philips head screwdriver, just an fyi).

I just wanted to write to tell any future buyers that YES, the alignment issue has been resolved, it fit perfectly and the model number on the back was the same as the original screen so they were basically identical. Unfortunately upon unboxing and checking it over I noticed some very hard to see lines on the front, with a sinking heart I hooked it up, turned it on and yep, white screen with black sections and a couple of long fractures along the screen.

I don't know if it was broken when it was sent packaged or during delivery but it's having to go back as it was definitely broken when the box was opened :( A shame as I'm going to have to wait for a refund now before I can order another (hopefully intact) screen for my chromebook. From the other comments I'm going to have to assume that it was just a one off, when I get my new one I'll come back and update again with a new review.

I broke my 303C Chromebook screen by leaving it in my bed and then accidentally jumping on it. This is the correct replacement screen. I have replaced laptop screens before, and this one was very easy to install. A quick search for "Samsung 303C Screen Replacement Procedure" on You Tube should bring up a clear instructional video, which may be useful for some because removing the bezel on a laptop screen can be fickle. All in all, anyone can do this repair; it is quite simple.

Concerning the mounting brackets, I had read several older reviews stating that the mounting brackets where incorrectly drilled. If this was a problem in the past, it appears to no longer be so. My replacement screen has mounting brackets that are correctly drilled. It looks like all the recent reviewers of this screen have also received correctly drilled mounting brackets, and like mine, the mounting brackets were drilled in two places. This is no problem as the screen lines up and mounts perfectly.

Color reproduction, light output, and overall viewing experience of this screen appears no different than the original. No dead pixels.

All in all, a good, cheap, and easy fix!

A few months ago, I cracked the screen on my Samsung Chromebook. At the time, I assumed (incorrectly) that I would need to buy a brand new one. As I was looking through Chromebooks and deciding which one to purchase next, I happened upon this item.

I'm an IT guy, but my specialty is software, and I rarely mess with hardware. However, this was pretty easy to put on and it works like a champ. I had the old screen off and the new screen on in roughly 10 minutes.

Just be sure to make sure the brackets on your Chromebook match the ones shown for this item. I think I read this particular Chromebook model comes with 2 different bracket types for the screen.

But I am very satisfied with this item. Works great, easy to put on, and saved me at least a couple hundred bucks since I didn't have to replace the Chromebook entirely.

I was a bit hesitant to replace my broken Chromebook screen, but I'm glad I eventually did. Yes, it's an old Chromebook, but this is a well priced product, works as expected, and the machine's design makes it very easy to replace, so it is worth it. There are three caveats I'll share to help you decide:

1) The metal "ears" (where the screws go in to affix the screen to the laptop's cover) seemed worn and bent. The screen itself had no scratches or other wear marks, but it may be used and not new as claimed

2) I feel the screen is a bit darker than the OEM screen, i.e. it doesn't match the max brightness. But I have no way of comparing side by side, so this is subjective. More to the point, I never used the OEM screen at max brightness, so this isn't really an issue for me

3) While I tried to affix the screen in the same position as the old one, upon reassembly it looked like there was a slight gap between the top of the screen and the bezel. I decided to leave it like that. What I'm saying is, even though the screen looks the same size and the "ears" for the screws seem to be in the same place, you may want to overlay the bezel before tightening the screen's screws to ensure you line it up properly

In all, I obviously would have preferred not cracking my OEM screen in the first place, but this is an affordable product that does a great job. Thanks to this option, the laptop remains useful and will probably be around the household a bit longer.
