Great watch overall. I had been unable to get Pay loaded for NFC payments for over a year and Samsung was no help. I finally found a way to check the country code and it was set to something other than US. Once I set it to the US, I was able to load Pay and use the watch for payments.

Works with IOS, just not Samsung App

Watch works fine, you have to use the blue tooth and WiFi in the watch to download apps and watch faces, however this watch does work with IOS with incoming and outgoing calls. Answers and dials. In addition the Samsung health integrates well with IOS, that said I track my walks and my long cycling rides. So unless mine was an exception the watch works as all Samsung Classics with IOS, the only Gotcha is that the watch is older as far as the software so it won’t integrate with the new app Samsung Watch. But again the watch has its own WiFi and can download from Samsung most of the relative apps etc.

The watch is great. The online manual not so much! There are so many things the watch can do it takes days to learn its ins and outs and basically the only way to learn them is by playing with the watch and looking at internet help. There are not an excess of apps but the ones available allow me to do pretty much what I want with a smart watch. I didn't really care for the band that came with it so ordered a different one online that I like a whole lot better. Overall I'm happy with it.

I have been using this watch for a while now. It works well as a fitness tracker and a hands free device, you don't need to talk into it like Michael Knight, you can hold a conversation whilst going about using your hands. Connects well with my S8 but also when my phone connects to other Bluetooth devices. If I make a call on my watch in my car it will utilise the cars hands free ability. It's stylish and you can customise it by changing the strap and there are lots of watch faces to choose from. I particularly like that it tells me how long I slept for and how restless I was.

The Samsung Gear S3 is a new generation watch that goes beyond the imagination, an actual digital timepiece. A must have collection with your Rolex, Citizen, Bell &Ross and Armani . Stainless steel, Leather straps, water and dust proof makes it look like a real watch.
The Samsung Gear S3 is actually available in two models, Gear S3 Classic and Gear S3 Frontier, there is no difference in functionality of the two models. I got S3 Classic to write a review.
Samsun Gear S3 is compatible with any 22mm watch strap easily customizable. Gear S3 comes with a built-in speaker, so you can make and receive phone calls though you look some kind of undercover agent while doing that.
What I like the most about S3 Gear is its sensors that make it more like a sports watch. It includes accelerometer, barometer, altimeter and GPS, then there is an optical heart rate monitor on the back.
The Samsung S3 Gear AMOLED display is the best feature of this watch. AMOLED touch screen display, Gorilla glass that provides damage resistance as well as reduce surface reflection to your watch really pays off and justify its worth.

First off this is a big watch but not as big as I thought it was going to be on the wrist, and I do not have large wrists, however due to its depth it may snag on your shirt sleeve if you wear them for work etc.

I purchased the Classic and if there is one thing I would recommend when you do, purchase a replacement strap as the bundled leather one, while nice, is too stiff and requires some serious breaking in.

I purchased a neoprene type sports strap and the difference was night and day with regards to comfort, so it is something I highly recommend doing.

Had a lot of smart watches, still have a couple of Pebble Times and an Apple watch and have to say Tizen is without a doubt a well made OS for the watch and personally I think Samsung did the right thing moving away from Android wear (have had 3 other Android watches running Android wear)

It may not have all the apps but it does what I require and does it well, worth the price? I think so.

Note I am using it with a Samsung S8 and bough the higher price Gear S3 Classic due to reports of the cheaper ones being grey imports and resulting in issues with Samsung Pay (that I have setup without issue)

Very good watch. I researched for weeks before choosing this. I think samsung health is the main reason for the 4 star. Its rubbish compared to the fitbit app. The watch does log your activity data quite well though and does know very quickly when you have started running for example. The GPS is very good and appears very accurate. Phone calls, messages, watsapp etc are all very easy to use. The battery life is excellent. I charge mine every 3 days. The speaker is also suprisingly very good when making voice calls and listening to music. Transferring data (pictures, songs etc) is really easy. It works well with my samsung phone. Would definately recommend this watch.
