As a Samsung Product, it's good quality and probably works great for the older Galaxy tabs.
I purchased this with the misconception that it would work on the 10.1
I later discovered that the 10.1's output is digital, and the only way to see it on an analog TV would be to use a  Samsung Galaxy TabTM HDTV Adapter  and then plug that into an HDMI to analog converter. Hopefully reading this will save you from buying the wrong thing.

I bought this for my 10.1 and it plugged in but does not work with the 10.1. Called Samsung and they confirmed the 10.1 does not have an RCA adapter available they are aware of.

I will say that I am very impressed with Amazon customer service and that is the only reasong they got 3 stars instead of 1. They IMMEDIATELY accepted my return. Thank you Amazon.

this cable is awesome.i have an older flat screen with no hdmi input and this cable provided me the abiliity to stream from my galaxy tab directly. makes your tab into a portable media center! worth the money if you dont not have an hdmi port. also even if you do have the hdmi port, if you dont have the dock you cant use the hdmi port anyway. the galaxy tab does not have an hdmi out.

The item page for this cable syas that Samsung Tab can be connected to TV through this cable to see your Tab screen on TV. But the description does not tell that it will not work with WiFi tab. I bought this cable for my Galaxy Tab GT-P1010 but after connecting it to TV I got only audio, no video. Then I contacted the Samsung Technical help. They confirmed that WiFi tabs are not compatible with this cable. Only carier based tabes can be connected to TV via this cable.
Amazon.Com has a wrong description for this cable on their page.
BOTTOM LINE: IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO BUY THIS CABLE FOR WiFi TAB. PLEASE BE AWARE THAT IT WILL NOT WORK WITH THAT.

I think there is a disconnect between Samsung and third party developers of accessories like this. After I bought the cable and couldn't get it to work, I saw a lot of comments online saying that these types of cables don't work. I have a galaxy tab 7 plus. I bought this expecting to be able to play back videos on my hdmi TV. Doesn't work. Instead I had to purchase a Samsung hdmi adapter and a desk mount from Samsung to accomplish play back to my TV. A better explanation of this product by Amazon would be extremely helpful. I just wasted my money.

Galaxy側の端子は問題は有りませんが、コンポジット側には大きな課題が存在しています。アースが堅く、挿入メス端子から本ケースブルを取り外すとき、外装部分とアース部分が分離と破壊が発生した。
最初に購入し、諦め再度購入したが、同じ現象が発生。他に純正がなく困っている。壊れた最初にものを自身でコンポジット側を日本製に変更し使用しているが、三星の抜本的な改良を切望するものである。
