4.0 out of 5 starsAlmost perfect but..
Reviewed in the United States ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ on March 10, 2014
The printer works perfectly. It prints and scans very fast, and the quality is exceptional. There are only two remarks that make this product not 5 stars:

1) there is no a quick "scan to" button. I was used with my old all-in-one to have a nice "scan-to" button where in two steps (one pressing this button, one more to select the destination). You can only use the LCD for this.

2) scanning to your network computer is not so straighforward. Specifically, you need to click
a) power-wake-up
b) scan to
c) network pc
d) next
e) user
f) wait a few seconds until it connects to the user
g) select destination
h) start.

My old all-in-one printed had only "two steps" to scan to my PC.

A similar problem is with the other scan options. Somehow you always need to click "next", which in my opinion is superfluous.

Given that one of the reasons for switching to this (more expensive) printed was to speed up my scans, I am not completely satisfied by this long procedure to perform routine, and relatively standard, scans.

Despite this, the double page printing and scanning, and the very high printing/scanning speed make this printer still a very good choice.

1.0 out of 5 starsREAD THIS TO GET LEARN WHAT'S WRONG WITH THIS PRINTER
Reviewed in the United States ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ on October 6, 2015
It seems like this printer is awesome for the price, given how many great features it has. The good reviews state that it has the best print quality. An all in one with color...seems like the best deal! However, I did notice the few bad reviews but they didn't seem that many. Right? Wrong! As you can now, a few months later, there are tons of bad reviews as this printer is starting to break down for everyone.

So, DON'T DO IT.

Don't buy this printer. Don't be irresponsible and take the chance that this printer will work. It's not worth it.

WARRANTY. It's worthless. To fix it, they tell you that you need to ship it to them at your cost. The problem is that the printer weighs 70 lbs!! The first problem is how are you going to ship it? The printer arrived in a wooden frame which could support its weight. Since you've thrown that away, how are you going to package it? Obviously, a cardboard box can't support its weight. Second, the cost to ship this would exceed the cost of the printer! The post office doesn't mail anything over 70 lbs and UPS would charge about $200.

WIFI. The wifi hasn't worked from around day #5 after I opened the box.

SCANS. Getting scans to go to a shared folder on a server has also proved impossible. There are tons of printer drivers listed when you go to print and on certain days, some work and on other days, others work. And, on some days, none work at all and you need to reboot the printer and pray. Duplex also stopped working. Etc. I have a feeling that the printers that go wrong aren't only a small percentage because when I called in for help, they said that my cited problems were common and there were no solutions. Apparently, there are huge glitches with the software.

CONCLUSION. Don't buy it. It's not just me but I'm pretty sure that most buyers faced at least some if not all of the issues that I encountered. When I talked to Samsung technicians, they acknowledged that there were issues that they simply couldn't fix. They mentioned that the number of calls for this printer is numerous.

1.0 out of 5 stars Horrible Samsung printer
Reviewed in the United States ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ on January 26, 2018
This Samsung CLX- 6260FW at $898 is a extremely lousy printer. Samsung repair services is of extreme bad quality. I only got to use it properly during the first 9months. After the first 9 months, I have to sent it for repairs almost once every 3 months, as it has 3 year warranty. it is the same problem persisting once every 3 months , blur printouts blur scanning.

Samsung technicians who come for repairs are in blur states. He did not bring along trolley ( I lent him mine ) and did not bring along toners and he propose to come next week to test the printer as he wants to bring along toners next week. I declined, and told him to bring it back to test and check, ( all my toners were original from challenger Singapore, he insisted that toner could be faulty ) ; as the printer warranty is limited for 3 years. Hence, I do not want to drag it on. Over the
phone, I did explain to the phone operator that my printer had blur printouts, blur scannings.
The technician should have brought along the necessary equipments. He come empty handed.
During the repair, I lamented that Samsung laser printer is of extremely inferior quality as I
had issues with Samsung printer $898, barely less than 1 year after using it. I told him I have
a few ink jets at home, Epson k200, canon MX886, no problem at all, despite using both for
almost 5 years. My Samsung laser printer has been sent for repair for almost 4-6 times, right after 9 months, within barely less than 2 years. Each time after the repair, there will be clear print outs and scanning for almost 3 months. Therafter, blur printouts and blur scanning returns again. Seriously, Samsung should get to the root of the problem. Sometimes, I am busy and really tired of
sending it for repair, and I just make-do with my 2 other ink-jets. ( cos each time the
serviceman come, I wanted to be at home to explain to him what is wrong with the printer )
Each Samsung toner cost about $198. Previously, the toner report shows some toners were
about 30 - 40%, but the technician told me I should change toners at 30 - 40% as otherwise
the printouts will be blur. I cannot understand why Samsung designed a printer as such, as all
my other ink jets only requires replacement of inks when inks were 0%. As consumers, we
will not be able to gauge when is a good time to change toners, unless the printers prompt us.
Normally, the printer only prompt me to change toners at almost 0%. During the first / second
Samsung repair, I wasted 4 toners, as we replaced the 4 toners ( from me) to make sure toners is not the issue. I have no idea what is the toner % in the printer, prior replacement. Despite this, Printouts and scannings by Samsung laser printer are still blur.
Previously, the technicians also told me I should use double A papers, I followed suit as well.
Despite this, Printouts and scannings by Samsung laser printer are still blur. I am very
disappointed and angry with this Samsung printer.
Previously, the technicians also told me I clean up the printers, I followed suit as well.
Despite this, Printouts and scannings by Samsung laser printer are still blur. I am very
disappointed and angry with this Samsung printer.
I will not dare to ever buy Samsung printers for this lifetime. My experience with Samsung printer is Horribleโ€ฆmy torment will end in 2019 as That is when my warranty expires...

2.0 out of 5 stars Not so happy

I have had a Samsung CLX-6260FW for 5+ years that I have been extrememly happy with so I ordered another.
I have been less than satisfied with my 2nd purchase. It makes a clicking/grinding noise everytime it prints or copies and I have been unable to print across my wireless network for over a week because it is "searching" but shows my router when I I go thru the set up stages.
I am tempted to think this is a remanufactured unit, even though I checked the website very quickly.

3.0 out of 5 stars Certainly not bad, but cheap construction.

I've had this printer for just over two years now, and I've generally liked the product and its print/scan quality. That said, I use it minimally (think once or twice a month), and while scanning the other day the right hinge broke. Upon examination, the contact points where the metal pin is held just sheered off - made of very cheap and thin plastic necessitating a 20$ replacement. Considering the minimal use, this is just unacceptable. The product sounds good for the price/feature set, but I would not buy another.

1.0 out of 5 stars $500 Paperweight After 18 Months and 8,000 Prints
Reviewed in the United States ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ on January 18, 2017
Ran this printer for less than two years with just 8,000 prints before it bit the dust. The machine restarted one night and never got past the Samsung logo boot screen again. I tried every restart procedure I could think of and called Samsung who told me it was a hardware issue with motherboard. They could only refer me to a "Samsung-trained repair store". The item was several months past its short one-year warranty so I'm left high and dry with a $500 paperweight. Will never buy another Samsung printer again.

2.0 out of 5 stars A troublesome printer
Reviewed in the United States ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ on October 11, 2016
I've had this printer for over 3 years now. Maybe a little much for a home office with occasional printing/scanning needs, but I was looking for a quality color laser MFP that would last and this seemed to fit the bill nicely. For the first six months, it printed top-notch documents. Then I started getting vertical streaking on each page that progressively got worse, mostly when printing in color. I did all of the maintenance and troubleshooting items per the instruction manual. No help. I tried contacting Samsung support and got the run-around. The printing got so bad, I stopped using it for that. I can't leave it on anymore because it "wakes up" at all hours of the night for diagnostics and such. I kept it for the scanning, but even that is getting more problematic because it no longer recognizes that a USB thumb drive has been inserted. The only way to scan now is to initiate from the desktop software. A new MFP from a competitor is on the way and this clunker will finally be cast aside. Certainly not what I expected from Samsung.

1.0 out of 5 stars Complete piece of junk. Waste of money. Do not buy Samsung printers.

I bought a Samsung printer because I thought I could depend on it being a great product. I was wrong. The print quality is great but it ended up being a piece of junk. I spent the extra money to get a good product and keep the cost per page low. This printer stopped working after 13 months in use. The display went black and will not work any more. I contacted Samsung and they basically told me tough luck. It is out of warranty and I would have to pay to fix it. I carried it to a local repairman and he looked at it. Samsung told him that the display had to be replaced complete and that it would be $287.00 for the part. This printer never even used all the toner in the original cartridges. I still had 30 % left in the color cartridges. So this means my price per page is 20 times what I calculated. Do not buy a Samsung printer!!!!

1.0 out of 5 stars Horrible machine! It worked fine for a while
Reviewed in the United States ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ on January 27, 2016
Horrible machine! It worked fine for a while, then started acting up and would not print. I reinstalled and it worked ok for a little while, then the same thing happened, now it just wont work at all. I have tried reinstalling on 4 different computers, 3 PCs and 1 Mac, no result. Samsung support just makes you go through the same steps over and over again until you get tired of it. This thing is going back to the store, and I hope they refund me for the ink, because that is just outrageously expensive!

1.0 out of 5 stars ... this printer for 2 years and it's been a disappointment the entire time
Reviewed in the United States ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ on November 6, 2015

I've had this printer for 2 years and it's been a disappointment the entire time. The print quality is not great. It runs through ink much faster than advertised, and you'll get those blue streaks on your paper. Feeding alternative sized paper through is maddening because it gets stuck half the time, and then streaks. The cost of this printer, plus the money you'll spend on it's very expensive cartridges, is a waste.
(I should note I am tech savvy and have spent hours troubleshooting the multiple problems)
