Purchased this to use with a Tylt Vu wireless charging base. The back was easy to install and works great with the Tylt. I really like how the Tylt allows you to place the phone anywhere on it's surface and it will start to charge unlike some other models that force you to place the phone in a certain area on the base.

Pros:
Easy to install & Use.
No more plugging in the cable or unplugging it from the phone when I need to take a call. Just grab and go. Charges fairly quick as well.

Cons:

Cost. It's a little pricey and I think in the current market all phones should be wireless ready without purchasing a special case.

It is a little bigger than the standard back cover. It is very slight and I didn't notice it at all after having it installed an hour or so. However, most phone cases WILL NOT fit the phone properly with this wireless back installed. I had a basic Spigen bumper installed on the normal back and it fit like a glove. Since the wireless back bulges slightly where the battery is the case will no longer fit properly. I can force it on, but it pops off easily and doesn't look that great. I tried this wireless cover with several other standard cases and none of them fit.

Even though I don't have any great options for a case with the wireless cover I'm still using it and think it's worth the trade off. I've read somewhere that Samsung will be releasing the SView cover with a wireless option but I can't find it anywhere in the States so far. Hopefully, there will be some 3rd party options available soon to fill the void.

I just wanted to post this to help those that have read you can't use this with an Otterbox defender case.

You can use it if you're willing to take the chance and mod it.

I'm not responsible if you damage your cover or phone. You've been warned!

My Note 3 has a tempered glass screen protector which is a very tight fit in the Defender but it did fit, after removing the included plastic screen protector. I had an aftermarket qi charging coil which fit but it didn't work with the NFC. So I took a chance and picked up the Samsung charging back which supports both charging and NFC. I didn't buy the cover from Amazon. Before doing anything I verified that it would charge and scan through the plastic and rubber of the Defender. Using a Koolpad and Tectiles both worked so I went about modding the charging back since it was just a little too thick to fit.

First remove the thin piece of foam from inside the back of the Defender. Now comes the hard part. You will need to separate the charging coil and electronics from the outer back cover.
Look at my first picture which has an arrow pointing to the seam I'm talking about. Be aware that the two pieces of appear to be welded together not glued so you will have to gently break each one of these welds. I used the blade of a leathermen. I started where the arrow is pointing and worked down each side with. I slide a business card between the two pieces as I worked my way down to help protect the coil and circuitry.
It should be pretty self-explanatory from this point but a couple of small tips. One you won't be able to use either of your original Samsung back covers on your phone. The charging circuit and back of Defender will become the back of your phone.

My largest frustration with android phones since the original Motorola Droid is micro USB port charging. Unless you can always delicately connect and disconnect your charger cable, something will inevitably fail. The port will short out, or the cable gets bent or everything wears down so you have to balance the phone just right to get a charge. We can send and receive gigabytes of data or perform OTA updates without ever having to touch a wire, but the constant shoving and yanking of the cable will eventually ruin device after device.

When I upgraded to the Note 3, I knew I wanted to upgrade my charging as well. This cover's a little pricier compared to alternatives such as third party Qi receivers that fit under existing cases. I went with an OEM receiver because I didn't see any third party brands I trust offering a receiver, and because of some reports of these causing the standard battery covers to crack. I got the white cover for use on a white Verizon Note 3. A couple of notes- my cover arrived in what looked like official retail packaging, but the branding on the back doesn't match the photo. It just says "Samsung" with no "Galaxy Note 3" logo at the bottom. It looks and feels exactly like the stock cover with the exception of some bulk so I'm confident it's the real thing. As someone with a love/hate relationship with Verizon I was also delighted to discover that the only carrier branding on the Note 3 is on the battery cover- so with this cover my phone now only says Samsung. I

I paired this with ANKER's wireless charger. Wireless charging is slightly slower than wired but is definitely comparable.
