This smart phone is perfect for everyday use. It has a very compact, sleek body packed with the works. Read up on the specs. I highly suggest if you're already planning on going the prepaid route to buy this phone and activate it on Page Plus Cellular. I was able to activate this phone with Page Plus out of the box. You also need a 4G SIM card and a PIN card or add airtime using a credit/debit card at the time of activation. Page Plus just revised their plans this week.I recommend the "55" plan, that's unlimited nationwide talk, text, unlimited international text, a whopping 5GB of data at full 4G speeds(then speeds are reduced to 2G) and $10 worth of international phone calls for $55. When compared to Verizon's Prepaid plans this deal is a steal. I will leave links to the SIM card, a case and a screen protector that I purchased here on Amazon.com as well. Get this phone, get Page Plus. You won't be disappointed. Pro- this does everything my S4 did at literally half the price. Less than half, actually, of what I paid for other phones.
Con- STORAGE! It was bought in May. Now, after clearing cache more times than I friggin blink in a day, dumping all trash and less used apps, the storage is still full. Uploaded pics to Google photos to free up space, also got rid of superflous and unnecessary video, audio, documents...even dumped apps that I needed. The kicker is that is has sd card slot but will not allow you to use card. In the menu, it has an sd card "prompt", but there is no option to actually use it. Paid 70? for it, still..a few months of storage? I have gotten rid of almost everything I downloaded. So I am cycling photos into Google then deleting from mt phone. Which works. But it's still annoying.
Will def get another Samsung, been a loyal follower for years, but need to go back to expandable storage. I just needed a phone so it was an emergency purchase...was great otherwise. Not too much bloatware to battle. Excellent camera, speakers, etc.
My favorite phone other than storage issue.
The S4 was too big, anyway, I notice only after using this one.
Also, I have dropped this one a MILLION times...nothing. not a scratch! I sneezed once with the S4 and it came apart and wept little androidy tears. It's still sitting over there...without a battery....talkin bout needing therapy...
**EDIT**
I originally gave this phone five stars. I'm taking away one of those stars because we had to exchange the phone after a few days. The first phone worked great until an actual phone call was placed on it. A short time later, it would give an overheat warning, even though the phone wasn't overheating. You couldn't do anything else until you pulled the battery for a minute or two. Then it would work great until another phone call was made. Amazon exchanged the phone for us, and all is well with the new one. Everything from my original review is still how I feel about this phone. I believe it is currently the best Verizon no-contract phone out there for the money.
The one problem I have had is with mass mailing. A mass mail created on one day was sent the next and over half the recipients didn't get it at all. It is not easy to detach the message from the mass mail and reply without replying to everyone. Several phones got several mails not intended for them because of this.
Overall, this is a good value for what you get and gets the job done.
