This laptop is just what I wanted for for my purposes which are Web surfing, emails, and my writing: it's thin, lightweight, and fast to boot and wake from sleep mode. The screen is very nice, the keyboard is nicely laid out for my larger hands, and the feel of typing on it is comfortable. Not having an optical drive is no big deal because I don't have a need for one because any software I want I can just download (at least so far so good). The solid state hard disk drive is 128MB which is small relative to most laptops but with multiple USB 3 ports I can plug in a micro USB drive and have extra space. The one thing I'd like different on this laptop is the SD card slot. When a card is inserted it sticks out a little when fully inserted. Not a lot but it's flush like I'm used to. When there's no card inserted the flap/cover is spring loaded and fits flush along the slot opening.
I have a large video collection and most are ISO images which I play with the terrific VLC software on the laptop. I've watched movies from an ISO image I put on the solid state hard drive, and put on the 64GB class 10 SD card, and also from the micro USB drive with pretty much the same results: it looks really good when not in full screen mode. The resolution in full screen is just... good. Fortunately I'm not using it for just movies.
I'm not a gamer so I cannot comment on this aspect and I don't have solid performance metrics to share. I just know I like this laptop a lot.

Overall this is such a great product with very few let downs. I'll try and keep descriptions short
I love the brightness of the screen, and the fact that it is matte means I can use it in bright lighting conditions without the glare.
I don't understand this talk about poor travel... the travel on this keyboard is more than adequate for me
It is very thin. Some people have even confused it for a folder when I take it with me.
Another thing I really like about this is the amazing battery life. I can go through a whole day without having to recharge
The subtle keyboard back light is a very subtle touch that I really like as its not a distraction at night like other back lights can be.
The track pad is quite good (best I've ever seen on a windows laptop) and easy to use apart from a few things.
I love the chassis, its so sleek and sexy + it is so light and easy to carry around ( I think I sorta mentioned that previously)
The sound isn't spectacular but its still very adequate for listening to music and its surprisingly a lot louder than I thought it would be. Sometimes if you turn it up really loud it does sound tinny but this doesn't happen a lot unless you are listening to the high-mids.
The track pad two finger scrolling isn't like apples. Not a hardcore apple fan but we use them at school and its always confusing when you have to switch two-finger scrolling techniques.
The screen is really nice but you'll noticed its a little washed out on some angles. By no means should that be a deterrent because its still really nice when looking at directly like normal people do. The detail is quite crisp too.
Oh track pad, why must you not two-finger scroll very fluidly? It can be an annoyance when you are two-finger scrolling and take your fingers off the track pad. You expect it to scroll down a lot and lose momentum which it does but it lags a little - potentially and driver issue that could be resolved in the future
If you tap the right side of the track pad it doesn't register clicks and that is slightly annoying.
Conclusion: I may have rambled a bit about minute problems but I really do love this 'ultrabook' with a passion. It is amazingly thin and easy to carry around + it has an amazing and bright matte screen that I know you will love. Those concerns people have about washed out colour of the screen are nothing to worry about. This is an awesome device I recommend you get it. GO SAMSUNG!

I go through 2-3 computers a year for business. Always the same crappy dells' hp's. I finally decided to splurge. This computer is amazing. Faster then my desktop. The battery will last almost the whole day. And oh man the bootup. If you restart the computer in 10 seconds ur back online. its amazing
If you do mostly web type work this is ur computer. 100gigs for me is amble storage I use dropbox for everything else
Also the design is a headturner. Looks better then a macbook.

It's got a huge screen and boots up fast. I don't do much with my laptop except school work and using the internet. So it's really sweet!

Unit came in with illegal software installed.
Some features do not work well... such as back-lit keyboard.
Touch-pad extremely sensitive.... could not find any control.
-Weight (or lack thereof). Can be lifted (it's both sturdy and light enough) with one hand. No flex when lifted by the corner.
