Touch Screen seems incompatible with Windows 10
I've had this laptop for a few days and I feel compelled to write a review because I'm having issues with the touch screen not working. I've been in touch with Samsung support. Their first solution was to install Samsung updates - which did not work. Their second solution was to do a reset, which I'm trying to avoid, as that is a hassle. I want to be sure I've exhausted all options before doing this. Samsung has said if that doesn't work, that having the laptop repaired would be covered under warranty. So props to Samsung for support.I've been searching for a solution online and it seems that Windows 10 is notorious for not working with touch screens across all brands - so be aware of that as you do your research. It's particularly disappointing that people have been encountering this problem since 2015 and there is still no official fix (Google "HID Compliant Touch Screen Code 45" to read the complaints). In Device Manager, the "HID-Compliant Touch Screen" will show as grayed out with a Code 45 saying that the device is not connected. Thus far, I've been unable to find a fix it. Should I find a fix, I'll post an update to this review.I'm giving the laptop 3 stars because other than this issue, which I believe to be a Windows issue and not a Samsung issue, I do like the laptop. I'm just disappointed that one of its main features is not currently working. I got to enjoy the convenience of a touch screen for 1 day.I got this laptop for school. I wanted something lightweight and portable and this laptop fits the bill. It's also very sleek. As others have noted, the power button is on the side of the laptop, which seems awkward, but I haven't accidentally turned it off yet - so this is a non-issue to me. I like the laptop and if I can figure out the touch screen issue, I think I'll love it.

I've had this laptop for 2 years now. Still works great! Battery life is still good. Nothing broke. Love the light up keyboard, touchscreen option, build in micro SD card reader, screen quality.

If I had to choose any cons, i would say speaker location. If you have this on your lap or a pillow, the speakers get muffled. Another would be power button location. It's right by the volume up button so I've hit power many times by accident. Nothing serious though. I'll be sticking with Samsung.

I originally bought this laptop because my previous laptop had it's motherboard die, and was planning on returning it if I could manage to repair it. However, after using it for a few days I am in awe at how wonderfully it works as a 2 in one laptop/tablet. Very sleek design, great for browsing and doing work on and surprisingly good for gaming which I did not expect. You definitely get the bang for your buck that the device promotes in all aspects. The huge memory storage is a plus (1TB) and the battery life is awesome and good enough for multitasking (studying, gaming, work etc.), but I am definitely taking precautions to not burn it out quickly since the battery is internal and can't be swapped out easily.

Definitely a much more affordable notebook than similar macbooks and windows laptop/tablets. Will definitely keep it, we will see how it does on the long run!

I am a college student and bought this Samsung laptop for over $600 for studies. 2 3 months later, right after Amazon's return window and support window closed, it stopped working. I get the infamous Sansung "all boot options tried" error. I have tried system restore, checking the boot sequence but nothing works. All data seems to suggest the motherboard is fried after only 3 months! DO NOT BUY. At least if I bought from another vendor I would have had a year to return it to the manufacturer

Would not buy it again. The on/off button is on the side of the computer- and this button gets easily "bumped" while I am using it- and then shuts off.
It is almost impossible to use on airplanes without accidently being turned off several times on a flight.

Because the button sticks past the edge of the computer, even if I am careful - the off button still gets slightly touched- and then off goes computer!

Otherwise- I like it, even love it. I had a high end HP- which cost more than this, but this performs, and is laid out virtually identical to the HP.

But my HP at least stayed ON!!!!

This is a powerful computer. I love it. It is Fast, reliable and great with a tablet & computer all in one. I was hesitant to get this 6 months ago now I own 2. One for work and one for personal. Dell computers suck. The last Dell I got had to have hard-drive replaced and batter after just being less then a 1.5 old. Go Samsung all the way!
