What is an unlocked phone?
An unlocked phone is a device that is not bound to any carrier or plan. It allows you to choose your phone first and your carrier second. Upon selecting a plan, simply insert the carrier's SIM card into the phone and you're ready to go. If you decide you want to change carriers down the road or want to take an international trip, it's as simple as replacing your existing SIM card with a new SIM and activating your new plan.
What are the benefits of an unlocked phone?
Freedom: Choose the carrier with the best service or price. If you find a better deal later, you have the ability to change to a different carrier.
Travel: Take your phone internationally and use the carrier of your choice. It's as easy as inserting an active SIM card.
Selection: Choose the phone with the features you want, whether or not your carrier sells it, and get more service options without a contract.
How do I set up my unlocked phone?
The first thing you’ll need is a SIM card for your desired carrier. When activated, the SIM card will let your phone connect to your carrier’s network. If you decide to upgrade to a newer unlocked phone in the future, you can easily remove the SIM card from your old phone and put it in your new phone—just make sure you get the right size of SIM card (nano, micro, or standard) for your phone. If you want to use your phone while traveling internationally, you can easily buy a SIM card for a carrier that operates where you’re traveling. As long as it’s activated, you can just swap SIM cards when you arrive at your destination.

If you get this phone, DO NOT BUY FROM SHOPEBEST. Get it somewhere else. I got scammed for more than $700 and have nothing to show for it.
Watch out for this fraudulent seller.
I've already made a claim with Amazon, but haven't heard back yet.
Edit: Finally got a refund, but I got hit with a $300 restocking fee. Contacted Amazon again, and they fixed it. I now have the full refund. Very happy with Amazon's customer service, but never again will I buy from Shopebest.
The phone did not arrive until Wednesday April 16th. I am disappointed it took 5 days when i paid for one day shipping.
Second issue was when i opened the package they sent me the SM-G900F model. As you can see they clearly state more than once in the item description they are selling the SM-G900H version. After researching the difference it looks like the G900F is supposed to have LTE bands 800/850/900/1800/2100/2600 MHz which the G900H does not have. However when i put my T-Mobile SIM in, i can not get LTE, I only get HSPA+.
Third issue is the manufactures seal on the box was broken, the box had been opened. All of the accessories appear to be accounted for. The clear plastic static shields where still attached to the screen and back of the phone. However when i turned the phone on someone had already went through the setup screens. You know when you first turn on a new phone it ask you your language, owners name, basic setup questions, etc, before getting to the home screen. So i went into the settings and did a factory reset.
Other then that the phone seems to be working fine, minus not being able to get LTE with T-Mobile.
Galaxy S5's back plate has a perforated dot pattern and a excellent matte finish. As a result, the phone looks far more sophisticated than its past designs despite its plastic build. Its surface feels nice to the touch without being too rough or too slippery. I really do _not_ care about the plastic, in fact the lightweight nature is what I care. Some people make a huge deal out of it. A high quality plastic is good for lightweight and I go with lightweight than a heavy phone in the pocket. A reputed tech site called recently Samsung as the “undisputed king of the Android smartphone space”. True indeed. With the plethora of devices in tablets/phones, they have iterated so much that they can produce truly stunning products.
If you care for weight, the Galaxy S4 is lighter than S5. (please see my stats below). In fact pixel density is slightly higher in S4 due to a 0.1in size difference. So get an S4, it is cheaper and still same phone that came out last year.Read more ›
I don't understand that the S5 has lag issues, I had performance issues while I was playing REAL RACING 3, frame rate dropping... Which I can only think is the samsung bloatwares installed... Even though, with the Exyon Quad Core; 1.9GHz,1.3GHz (8 cores CPU), the S5 must have been running very smoothly...
The cam is not good in low light conditions... Which is crazy... The heart beat scanner is silly, because it's gimmicky, it takes more battery life and nothing more... Also, the Heart beat scanner brings inconsistent readings all the time...
I am very disappointed for a device that cost more than $600 not having a premium look and performance... I had the samsung S3, it was a great device. Don't get me wrong, Samsung S5 still a very solid high end phone but it could have been much better. Also, Be aware this is the International version 3G... Paying more than $600 where you are going to get only HSDPA+ speed... I didn't appreciate it at all...
If you want to buy the S5, I tell you this! WAIT for a couple months... The S5 will get cheaper. Or wait for the S6...
And I feel relieved now... I am going to wait for the LG-G3 instead...
