Don't buy it!

Neither face recognition nor fingerprint recognition work well. I really wanted to like it despite bad reviews I saw after ordering it. I tried to cancel my order almost immediately after I placed it, but they never responded. Basically, I hate it and went back to using my old S9 most of the time.

It is so expensive for a phone like that. You can get the technology and features with another phones with a lot less money. Samsung is not in top anymore with these overpriced products.

Great price but overpriced

I am been an iPhone user for years and I am thinking to get my first Samsung and this phone came to my mind but the price? I guess Samsung was thinking that if some people spend similar amount of money buying the iPhone 11 Pro Max 552 GB they will match the price with this phone but boom..... COVID-19 came around and millions of people became unemployed so who they think will spend that much money on this phone? The rich probably but everybody is holding their money due to the this unpredictable economy so I will wait until they lower the price. However if you go to Samsung website and you trade in your phone they will lower the price I believe to $800 . Maybe when the iPhone 12 will come out with its low pricing combined with the falling economy Samsung will force to lower the price.

A very nice phone BUT i thinks its overpriced tbh! I've always preferred large phones but the weight of this phone seems a little to much even for me. The camera hump on the back is a little unsightly and awkward, the camera still has auto focus problems out of the box and that's not what I expected of a £1200 phone! The screen is class leading and certainly the best that I've seen tbf but overall the phone is a little disappointing considering the high price of the phone! Allso why do we have to have the exynos processor version when the snapdragon (US) version is obviously superior? Overall, I'm a little disappointed and I'll give it another couple of weeks to see if it grows on me, otherwise it will be going back!
UPDATE ### Finally returned yesterday and probably won't be buying samsung again! How samsung can release a product (again) that doesn't work properly, out of the box puzzles me. The camera that is supposed to be the main selling point, is crap! The only selling point on this phone is the screen, otherwise its very ordinary and I'm not paying £1200 for that!

I'll try to keep this short and to the point, for the simple reason that my phone came with the following defects:
• Permanent Overheating (even with all applications closed and a minimum number of active processes - it heats up to the point where you cannot even hold it)
• Bootloop
• Stuck on boot screen
• Autofocus problems
So, this device will be returned in the next few days.

However, I had the opportunity to test an S20 Ultra 5G (kindly offered by a local store) and I can say that I was impressed by the:
👉 Display
Apart from the fact that the quality of the display is excellent: Do I really need to say the 120Hz is fantastic?!
YES! The animations and transition from one page to the other is buttery smooth - and I suspect that after this experience, I will not return to 60hz. Never!

👉 Performance
The in-house Exynos 990 at its heart, coupled with 12GB of RAM - ensures the phone feels consistently fast and fluid - displaying no lag whatsoever.
Coming from a Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus, I’m used to top flagship performance - and the S20 Ultra 5G didn’t disappoint. It is Ultra-Fast!

👉 Battery
The S20 Ultra 5G comfortably sits on a 5000mAh cell, so the battery life is unbelievably long, after a while day of work - I still have around 75% battery left.

✔ Pros:
+ High capacity and Great performance
+ Rich (5000mAh) battery
+ Stunning 120Hz AMOLED Display
+ Excellent design

✖ Cons:
- Autofocus
The S20 Ultra has an impressive camera, but the autofocus is bad, very bad!
The focus is trying hard but it misses most of the time, maybe 1 out of 10 images is good. It is a shame for an Ultra expensive smartphone.

In 3 days of use, I managed to love this smartphone.
· It's fast (and for me performance is the most important factor)
· It has a fantastic 120Hz display, which is a divine pleasure for your eyes.
But at such a high price, the camera is a step backwards and I cannot accept such an issue.

With all my love for Samsung, I still decided to wait for the launch of the new Note 20 - if it fails too: I will switch to Huawei P40 Pro+

At first I was a little underwhelmed by this phone. A definate step up from my Huawei P20 pro but Face ID & Fingerprint a bit slow / clunky compared to my wife's iPhone XR which was much cheaper and for every day photos the camera wasn't much better than my P20 Pro.
Than after 2 weeks it developed a rattle inside as if some internal components had come loose. I have now returned it as to me it just doesn't feel or perform like a £1k+ phone.

I purchased a Samsung s20 ultra in May that was faulty they sent me a replacement that was also faulty so i sent it back you got it back on the 22-7-20 and you have refunded me £4.75 it cost £8.80 to post it back via Royal Mail because i was supposed to send it back via Amazon Locker but the shop had had a break in so they wasn't open that is why we used Royal mail
