      Massive improvement! M.2 the only way to fly IF you have the $$. Read the specs and look at your socket! This 951 is much faster than it's little brother (and costs more respectively). This component is one you research the heck out of before you buy. I literally boot ("power on" to desktop in 17 seconds, over and over again. With my previous Samsung 850 Pro I was booting in 48 seconds. Keep in mind also that this is my highest end machine with no holds barred, cost included. I'm running 1 and 2Tb SSD's only, 5 Tb's total, with only 1 platter hybrid drive, and I've seen data transfer rates of 43 MBs to 514 MBs, depending on media. This is a game changer in every respect, and I'm dying to get my hands on a 1Tb version of this one. And this only pulled from 1 addt'l PCIE slot (PCIE 5) on my board. It's all about bus width and speed.

      The reviews really don't do these things justice. Boot times and just working in windows makes a newer SSD feel like an old platter. If you work from home (or can buy for work) do, it makes a huge speed difference for everyday tasks if they include working with large files
