4.0 out of 5 starsNot great, but not bad either

I like the fact this is a 4k monitor, and it is pretty big for my desk. It has a lot of screen real state for me to display windows open side by side.
I also like the fact that this monitor has VESA mount, so when used with a monitor arm, it not only saves some extra space from my desk but also raises the monitor be aligned with my line of sight.
It has 3 ports, 2 HDMI and 1 DP, should be plenty for regular uses.
The color gamut is not that great, but it is not bad either. Since I use it mostly for coding and reading, not photo or video editing, it is good enough. For people who want to do professional design or media editing, this is probably not the right choice.
The auto-detection of video input source simply DOESN'T WORK. I have to struggle with the tiny joystick button at the back to set it to the correct input source. It is also annoying that it won't display anything from the MBP when it boots up unless I open the laptop to display something the built-in screen at the same time first. Not sure if it is a driver issue or what. Also the built-in menu of the monitor doesn't display unless the monitor has valid signal from an input source. Overall, the usability is subpar.
