I did not buy this from Amazon so I cannot comment on Amazon's service, but I love this TV. It has a unique and stylish look and the picture is great. This is my third Samsung TV. Typically I turn off the "Auto Motion Plus" setting because while Samsung claims this makes action less blurry I find it makes movies look more like they were shot on videotape rather than film.
JB's review says he/she saw "judder" and in my experience the Auto Motion Plus causes this which is another reason I turn it off. Otherwise the factory settings out of the box looked pretty good to me - perhaps the contrast is a bit high (default setting is 100%) but that is easy to fix. Overall I highly recommend this TV. (BTW, I have not tested the 3D feature at all.)

I did not buy this from Amazon it was purchased at a brick and mortar store. This display falls somewhere between the mid-high tier models of the F6400 and the F7100. I am an avid gamer that is constantly looking for lowest input lag and motion performance from my TV. The Samsung offers both in spades. I have a torture test of both gaming and 3D content that I test all displays with. The F6800 has some the best performance this side of the 2013 Sony displays. Samsung employs a VA panel (vertical alignment) as opposed to IPS which is found on most LG,Vizio and Sony displays at the moment. IPS offers better motion and viewing angles opposed to VA panels which offer better color performance and contrast (black levels) at the expense of viewing angles and motion. Manufacturers have combatted these issues with the use of faster panel specs (120hz,240haz,etc), but causes motion artifacts in a lot of cases know as ghosting or overdrive trailing. Samsung through productions revisions has all but eliminated these niggles and offer one of the best LCD displays I have owned since the HX800 from Sony 2009-2010. You may have heard of the panel lottery present with many manufacturers, where a 3rd party is sub contracted to build certain displays for main manufacturer like Sony,Samsung and Vizio. While you may buy a Samsung the screen may be from a 3rd party Chinese or Korean factory. It's a game of luck with pros and cons to each, but ultimately you wants a Samsung TV with a Samsung manufactured screen. The display I have is a TU02 later generation panel from Samsung which addresses quality issues from earlier production. I have found that viewing angles, motion performance and uniformity have all been improved to make a near flawless experience (for me).Read more ›

I also own a 2012 Viera Smart TV and was never able to get any of the media player or network link functions to work properly.
The Samsung also supports an external keyboard and a mouse unlike the Viera.
With the Samsung it was a breeze to link to my PC hard drive where I store home videos and my photos.
Samsung knows how to make software work and that makes this TV useful as a media player.

The picture and sound are great right out f the box, however I do plan to add a sound bar to get decent bass.
The energy usage is rated at 54 watts so that means this unit is very power efficient.
Sometimes high tech design is not user friendly or ergonomic design. I find the touchpad remote control OK but irritating for channel changes. I do not want to draw numbers on a touchpad to change channels. However my cable box has a regular numeric control that lets me change channels the old fashioned way.
Overall this is a beautiful TV with a powerful media player capability.

I'm giving it a goddamn 5 because the design, picture, color reproduction, and motion IS ******* AMAZING, I am so glad I bought this tv I haven't left my room in a day! :) YOU WILL NOT REGRET BUYING THIS TV. This TV is also very underrated needs more reviews. NOTE* I had to reduce contrast and brightness a bit, AND the remote is a little odd too, it's mainly a touchpad >:o but overall? 10/10.

I purchased this TV after doing a lot of research on it and other models. For me, this one had the best combination of what I was looking for. It was highly rated on Consumer Reports; and from the few reviews I saw, it seemed to be well liked. It does seem to be a not very well known TV, which I'm surprised about given now great it is.

I did play around with the picture settings to get it to where I wanted. The clarity is amazing. Granted, I'm coming from a 6+ year old Vizio 37" TV. But the picture has definitely blown me away already. The sound isn't half bad either. I generally am not a huge movie watcher. I stick mainly to news, sports, Science Channel and a few other programs. I'm sure I'd notice the difference with movies; but for everyday type programming, I think the speakers the TV has is just fine.

I am finding that the remote is a bit tricky to get used to. I tried using it to control my Directv STB. I had to go back to using the satellite receiver's remote. I was definitely missing the DVR control buttons I'm used to. And also drawing the numbers didn't seem to work all that well for me when I tried changing channels. The remote, however, is no deal breaker for me. I could take it or leave it.

I will update this as time goes on, but so far the TV is amazing!
