Noticing the difference in charging time, I downloaded a program called Galaxy Charging Current (it shows the amount of current your phone is currently charging at) and plugged in my OEM charger and cord. The OEM charger and cord registered on Galaxy Charger Current program that the phone was charging at 1.8 amps.
I then plugged in one of these charger/cord combinations and they only registered .460 amps. Not even half an amp. I then tried my charger and one of the cords that came with the combo and it registered .500 amps. I kept trying multiple combinations of their cords/my cords/their chargers/my chargers and my phone never charged faster than .500 amps. Only a half an amp. The same you get when charging using USB. I am very, very disappointed. They must be knock-off's that look much like the originals.
I do not like FALSE advertising. Period. I would give a -10 review if Amazon would allow it.
Moral of the story, if it seems too good to be true, it probably is. When will I learn?
I don't know what I'm going to do yet. I have not contacted the seller and I don't even know if it would be worth it. Just wanted to let future buyer's BEWARE!!!

I have used Samsung original charger and Xentris 2-Amp Micro-USB Travel Charger.
Both of the adapters aforementioned are able to supply higher output and can fully charge my S4's extended battery (5200mAh) to 100% within 1.5 hours.
However, it took forever to charge using this charger. This adapter charged my phone for 6 hours and it had only gotten 86%.
So I used power meter to measure both original Samsung adapter and the cheap Chinese clone and found out that they were definitely not made equal.
Here's how the power meter being hooked up.
AC outlet -> power meter -> Charger.
Original Samsung adapter = 0.16A (13W) drew from the outlet.
Fake Samsung adapter = 0.06A (5W) drew from the outlet.
I did not want to strip my cable to get the actual output readout using a multimeter but the results provided above should suffice.
I've also posted the pictures under the product's images section.
I used an app called "Galaxy Charging Current", I was able to measure the current using my phone.
Original Samsung adapter = 1900 mAh.
Fake Samsung adapter = 520 mAh.
Seller was nice enough to offer refund for my purchase therefore I had given 4-star for their service, but since this is a product review therefore I am keeping it 1-star.
This should sum up everything with all of the proofs.
Thank you for reading.
Here's my advice if you're looking for a spare charger for your Note 2: Buy the 10W USB charger for an iPad from the Apple Store. That charger block is a 5.1v charger block that puts out 2.1 Amps. Compare that to the Samsung original charger block which is a 5.0v block that puts out 2.0 Amp. When I test that Apple 10W charger through my charge current reporting app, I get a MAX of 1800 mA just like with the original Samsung charger.

It's so nice to have an extra charger. I know it's all about convenience, but it's nice to spoil myself a little by not having to hunt around as to which room the charger is in. Read morePublished 1 month ago by Amazon Customer
