Only fair quality video transfer!

The picture has trailing images & jittery movements, it looks like a PAL transfer to NTSC, it gets distracting The colors are a little dark and the sound is a little muffled. This DVD is coded for both region 1 & 4 and may be an import by JADE.

The episodes run UNDER 20 minutes, so maybe they were sped up. This would explain the jittery movements.

Don't spend too much on this, hope for a better release.

ALSO BEWARE, the 5th episode is PART 1 with NO PART 2 !!!!!

as i bought the cartoon, it took about 5 days to get to me, i put it in my dvd player and it wouldn't play it, then i realized it might be region coded, so instead of putting it into my dvd-videomachine, i put it into my computer, and opened it with Win-DVD, and i there found out it was region coded with US-region code (luckily for me my version of the program had the region code) and i played it. the menu is sort of basic and not with the big details(which is neither necessary) i played it and i saw all the episodes on it, with joy, and a tear to my eye (it was the first time in about 13 years i had seen that cartoon(i saw it first time as a kid, which got up early in the morning every weekend to see it on tv)) as you might notice, i loved it and was not disappointed of what i saw. the five cartoons are funny and in some parts sarcastic. only problem was that some of the episodes showed scenes from episodes that were not on the dvd. however i am not to complain over it, as i could recognize much of what was shown.

to end this, i only hope my kid brother will be happy for it as christmas present(he is 9 atm) i hope he will get happy for it allthough he has never heard or seen the series before, my guess woulod be that when he has seen it, he will want more episodes with them, and i hope there will come more dvd's with more episodes.

a suggestion to next time, don't region code it

This is not a movie, but three episodes on one VHS Tape.

This rare Video Treasures VHS Tape (release in the early 1990s, cartoon didn't air until the mid-1990s) has three episodes of the Saban-Dubed Samurai Pizza Cats.

While the whole anime series in general was well done (including the Americanize dub), the major flaw of the VHS tape release (other than the face it's not a real movie) was only episodes 1, 51, and 52 are on the tape. Episodes 51 and 52 are the last two episodes of the series.

Unless you watched episodes 2-50, you'll not "get" the last two episodes of the cartoon series.

Also the fact that this VHS release didn't receive a huge print run is also a flaw.

For Samurai Pizza Cats fans only.

Jade Entertainment is a bootleg company in Austrailia and I can't see why Amazon is even selling this product. No money is going to the creators or the true license holders on this show. So do not buy this show as it is a bootleg dvd.
