Samurai Showdown has a long rich history in the fighting genre. With a roster of 16 characters, you have a diverse group of fighters with long and short range attacks. What is unique about this game compared to Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat is how the game is crafted into a masterpiece.

Pros:
-The amazing graphic
-The beautiful story mode
-Online play is smooth and no lag so far
-Free DLC characters, if purchase within first week of game release

Cons:
- The Boss fight in Story Mode
- Some historical characters are missing
- The pace is slow
- The commands are very technical and may not be suitable for casual gamers.

The great thing about this game is that it is not Street Fighter with Samurai skins - it plays very differently. Keep in mind that your opponent can take up to 70 percent of your health with one move and you have a game where reading your opponent becomes very important. I suck at this game but I am really enjoying playing it If you are a fighting game fan this is a unique addition to your collection,

As someone who spent hours in the arcade playing Samurai Shodown 2 this game is an absolute treat! The music, art style, and gameplay make for a fantastic experience. While some classic characters are missing, the season pass is free (at the time of this review 7/2/19) which guarantees more characters to come. This is a great technical fighter that has some real nuance especially in the defense side.

This game is a must for any fan of the series and a good game for any fan of the fighting genre.

Anyone who was old enough to be playing video games in the 1990s remembers Samurai Shodown. It was a fighting game that had something unique to offer even while the Street Fighter franchise was immensely popular. This up-to-date remake of Samurai Shodown has the feel of the classic, yet looks fantastic. This one is currently my favorite fighting game on PS4.

it's SamSho! what more can you say? great graphics! mines one star because of the smaller roaster and balance. A great fighter title, a must-play for those old arcade players and must-play for new players who want to learn fighting games but afraid of the complicated system. all about fundamentals, it's the good entry point for fighting game rookies.
