There was a problem filtering reviews right now. Please try again later.
The second problem is that writes are slow, painfully so for small files. I should have paid more attention to the reviews here stating this fact.
After doing some research, I bought the SanDisk Extreme CZ80 64 GB flash drive as a replacement. It runs much cooler, and the write speed is 5 times as fast for large files and 20 times as fast for small files (this is with both drives formatted as NTFS). I was even able to pick it up on a Daily Deal for only $7 more than the Ultra CZ48, but even if you have to pay twice as much it's worth it in my opinion.
I don't recommend the Ultra CZ48, but I highly recommend the Extreme CZ80.
Ran a disk benchmark on one drive, it went into "write protected mode" right afterwards.
Tried the second drive and tried to format to NTFS, failed and went into "write protected mode" as well.
From Sandisk's knowledge base:
"Write protection errors occur when a flash drive detects a potential fault within itself. The drive will go into write-protected mode to prevent data loss. There is no method to fix this. "
Here are the benchmarks ran before the drive failed:

Sandisk Ultra USB3 16GB
The one negative I found, which is the reason this is a four-star and not a five-star review has to do with the software on the drive. There is an executable that I believe has to do with drive security. When I ran it, it recognized that there was an update for the program, downloaded the update, but then the update would not run.
I paid full Amazon price for this flash drive. I wrote this review just to try to help others learn a little about it. I hope you found this review helpful. On the other hand, if you did not find this review helpful, I’d be interested in hearing why, so that I can attempt to edit it and make it more helpful to both you and others. If you leave a comment on the review, suggesting how it would be more helpful, I promise to respond to your comment, and to attempt to incorporate your suggestion in my review, if it is at all possible for me to do so. My goal is to write reviews that help people, as I have been helped by the reviews others have written. Thanks!

As other reviewers have observed, the constant speed attained [after an initial false high!] is 15 to 20 MB/sec.
Clearly, this is NOT a USB 3.0 device and a waste of INR 798.00 !!
It is light weight and has an activity LED but you can have these functions on older devices as well. I expected the same 'advertised performance' as on my many SanDisk microSD cards but I am extremely disappointed.
Eventhough, there was a return window for this item I didn't have the time or the inclination.. to go through the process.
You are better off buying a standard USB 2.0 and save money rather than purchase this FAKE USB 3.0 !!
1.) The USB 3.0 connector is very tight and I have had a real struggle fitting it in to several of my devices.
2.) Because of the tightness of the connector the slider/catch that holds the USB head forward is almost
useless and occasionally gives way and allows the head to be pushed back inside the body when being inserted.
So I now have to hold the slider forward with my thumb whenever I'm trying to insert it just in case it's pushed back.
Of course the USB connectors on some devices are upside down so I have to do this from underneath the drive.
It's ironic since some of my older USB drives had sliders that were way too stiff to move back and forth frequently.
So I'm now looking for USB thumb drives that don't have any sliders. They never work well!
