I recently upgraded to the new GoPro 4 Black Edition http://amzn.to/1nf8Wl4
Shooting 4K in (pseudo) RAW is awesome, but meant that I needed a faster card - so I grabbed this one.
After several shoots (each around 15 minutes), I've had zero issues. I've also tried other settings, like 1080p at 120fps, and it's performed flawlessly in all cases.
I can't speak to other cards in the high-speed market, but I can say that I've had zero reason not to love this card, and will buy it again if I ever need another.
I hope you found this helpful - feel free to ask questions below!

Cards Tested using SD adapter and TRIPP-LITE USB 3.0 Card Reader.
Windows 7 Pro (64 bit).
Also ran ATTO benchmark on all 3 cards, and got scores very close to CDM sequential scores on 64KB size and larger.
I ran A1 SD Bench test in Samsung Note 4 phone and these are test results:
SanDisk Extreme 64GB (card being reviewed):
Read: 53.02 Mb/s
Write: 42.77 Mb/s
Sandisk Ultra 64GB (Older card I bought about a year ago):
As you can see, write speed is almost 4 times faster in Extreme card compared to Ultra card. Read speed is also faster - by about 60%.
There are 3 other fast cards available from Amazon:
Lexar ( Lexar High-Performance MicroSDXC 633x 64GB UHS-I Flash Memory Card LSDMI64GBBNL633R )
and Samsung Pro ( Samsung 64GB PRO Class 10 Micro SDXC up to 90MB/s with Adapter (MB-MG64DA/AM) )
I do not own these cards, but someone ran A1 SD Bench on a Lexar 64GB microSD card in a Samsung S5 phone and posted results here:
It is not exactly same phone but I think it is a close match and benchmark results of Lexar card are quite lower than SanDisk Extreme
There are no full benchmark numbers posted for Samsung Pro card, but 2 reviews mention some numbers and write speeds are still slower than SanDisk Extreme.
Overall, I am very happy with this card.
When my routes would not save to slot 1 I knew something was wrong. I went to pull the tiny card and burnt my finger. I then grabbed an IR temp gun and measured in excess of 260F degrees around the card. After powering the unit down I used needle nose pliers to remove the card. As it came out it pulled black plastic from the Garmin melted case one can see in the photos below.
Slot 1 was destroyed, thankfully the 2nd slot still works normally.
I have contacted Sandisk Support many times with these photos and a detailed description of the issue. They 'ACT' like they are really sorry! They want to do an analysis on the card 1st which can take 6-8 weeks. Wait the 8 weeks and nothing. Contact and they say the card was defective and will send a replacement. I received a replacement card a few days after contacting them again. 3rd Sandisk contact I tell them that I could care less about a $15 card its my main navigation instrument that is of importance here.
After extended conversations on their 'chat', which btw was the fastest means of contact I could get, they tell me a supervisor is trying to call but my landline is not working. I call it from my cell and it is fine, very rare it would be out, also called from it to Sandisk Support 1 (866) 726-3475 and get their standard recorded message, so I know it works. I ask them to try again, no they say my phone is not working. Anyway you get the idea.
Sandisk is leading me around in circles trying to get me tired enough to drop the issue which I finally did. After a few months of calling, waiting, chatting just for the brushoff I will NEVER buy another Sandisk or Western Digital product!!!
I have owned well over 40 Sandisk cards since my 1st 48MB Compact Flash now to 128GB microSD's - I'm very concerned about my other expensive electronics which all have Sandisk Extreme's or Ultra's in them.
This is a WARNING! Beware that Sandisk Extreme cards could ruin your expensive device. Think DSLR, High End Audio, Tablets, etc.
I went far beyond reasonable efforts with Sandisk to at the very least look at my damaged microSD slot all in vain.
Don't be fooled by the Extreme or Ultra manes and labels Sandisk has! They do FAIL and some FAIL big time like mine.
Don't be a fool - Don't buy Sandisk - I repeat, Do Not Buy Sandisk!!!
