Product description
The SD and SDHC memory card is a highly secure stamp-sized flash memory card, which can be used in a variety of digital products: digital music players, cellular phones, handheld PCs, digital cameras, digital video camcorders, smart phones, car navigation systems and electronic books. To support the higher capacity needs, SD cards are now requiring a different design. The new SD 2.0 specifications - which supports 4GB and up - is called Secure Digital High Capacity (SDHC). The SD Association has created and defined 3 speed classes to help you identify speed and performance capabilities/minimum requirements of SDHC cards and their SDHC host products. Cards address data (read and write) at numerous speeds. Many factors impede this performance. SDHC guarantees a minimum read and write speed necessary to handle recording high quality video and audio. The maximum card speed may vary, but you can always depend on SDHC cards to meet your SDHC host product's high quality performance requirements. Because SDHC works differently (supports the new higher capacity cards) this new card format is not backwards compatible with legacy SD format host devices.

What I had been unaware of when I first bought this card is that memory cards have speed ratings which indicate how quickly they can process the data you want to write on them. To further complicate things, there are two types of ratings, Speed Class and Ultra High Speed. Speed classes come in four ratings, C2, C4, C6, and C10, which means they can write data at a rate of 2MB/s, 4MB/s, 6MB/s, and 10MB/s, respectively, or UHS comes in UHS U1 and U3, which writes at speeds of 10MB/s and 30MB/s. The higher the MB/s, the better the card.
This card writes at a C4 speed (as indicated by the number 4 encircled by a C on the label). It's a decent speed for smaller files, but considering a RAW photo files can be rather large, if you're shooting high res, RAW files, this is not the card for you. It will absolutely freeze up your camera.
If you are interested in an SD card for a DSLR, look at something like the Lexar Professional 600x 32GB SDHC UHS-I Flash Memory Card LSD32GCRBNA600 . Since switching to the C10/U1 Lexar, I've been infinitely more happy with my camera. The Sandisk C4 32GB remains in my point and shoot, where it's better suited.
Note; I only recommend buying cards from Amazon directly, as do many other reviewers, and others advise staying away from buying cards from shady websites unless they absolutely guarantee their products without hassle or b.s.
I only give it 4 STARS coz I feel that retailers and SD card manufacturers need to do more to protect their customers and come up with a system that can quickly identify fake cards before criminals try to flood the market with them.

I like podcasts, I like BBC Sounds, I like random play, I like a good night's sleep.
Fortunately I like to go to bed with Jane Garvey and Fig Lover, Charlotte Green and Jeremy Hardy, Stephen Fry and Huge Lorry.
The advent of good quality economical priced SD Drives has changed listening habits of many.
The demise on my very loved and venerable Asus 940HD meant I needed a new player for my collection of Pod Casts but my old system of 250GB drive and the Asus was not matched by the less flexible Chromebook which struggled to pick up my playlist from the large drive.
I tried an 8GB drive and that seemed to work well so I have now installed a 16GB SD card and my night time listening is assured.
A chromebook may seem over kill for music playback and a 16GB drive more so but the two work seamlessly through the night and day and that is all one could want.
