Andrea Lum: I bought it from Amazon.com
Johnson P.: I understand. How was this card packaged when you bought it from Amazon.com?
Andrea Lum: zip lock bag
Johnson P.: From the information you have provided, the card you have is an authentic SanDisk product.
based on a previous review, I contacted SanDisk to verify the authenticity of the CF Card. As you can see, it is real. It works well. hope you found this helpful.
I took the SanDisk confidence with me to my wedding shoot, and after running out of the first set, here I am, trying to get this card going, it shows "Error, no card" on my camera, while the client is waiting in front of me. It took a few embarrassing moments to fish out another backup and get things moving.
Plenty of reviewers have contacted SanDisk and confirmed this is a fake product, I shall be doing the same. It's a shame Amazon still nurtures these vendors of fake goods.
Equally important is reliability. I work very hard for my photos. File corruption is not acceptable. Through tens of thousands of photos, some of them in extremely adverse conditions, ranging from -40 to +100, from near zero humidity to steamy Amazonian jungles, I've never had a problem. The SanDisk product has been completely reliable.
The 8 GB size is just the right balance between capacity and safety. In RAW mode, with an accompanying large JPEG, I can get about 400 photos on a single 8 GB cartridge. Enough that I don't lose shots swapping out media; not so many that if I do lose the cartridge or it does crash, I don't lose hours of shooting.
I greatly appreciate products that simply and reliably do their intended task without any fuss. This is one of them. Strongly recommended.
