Top customer reviews
There was a problem filtering reviews right now. Please try again later.
The one negative I found, which is the reason this is a four-star and not a five-star review has to do with the software on the drive. There is an executable that I believe has to do with drive security. When I ran it, it recognized that there was an update for the program, downloaded the update, but then the update would not run.
I paid full Amazon price for this flash drive. I wrote this review just to try to help others learn a little about it. I hope you found this review helpful. On the other hand, if you did not find this review helpful, I’d be interested in hearing why, so that I can attempt to edit it and make it more helpful to both you and others. If you leave a comment on the review, suggesting how it would be more helpful, I promise to respond to your comment, and to attempt to incorporate your suggestion in my review, if it is at all possible for me to do so. My goal is to write reviews that help people, as I have been helped by the reviews others have written. Thanks!
Also, this doesn’t have anything to do with the amount of stars but SanDisk warranty service is horrible. They charge $15 to warranty replace things and when I got upset an the fee for a SD that was defective and had gotten melted, they said they can’t do anything about the fee. I got upset at this and a few days later a manager called and said they would email me the RMA and exchange for free but that also never happened. The email never came and I never heard back from them again. They have horrible customer service.
October 17, 2017 - update
I got a prompt response to my crappy review (it was originally 1 star) and after emailing proof of purchase and photos of the drives I had ordered, I was able to set up the cloud storage account. Drives are working great (ordered 3) and cloud storage is available. Four stars because I shouldn't have had to go through this hassle to get this working (Sandisk claims that amazon was supposed to email me the activation keys and instructions for sandisk cloud).
SanDisk cloud is a bit of a disappointment. I was hoping that it would be more like dropbox, which has a very straight-forward (AND LOGICAL) web interface. This isn't the case with this product. Maybe it's usable with the downloadable apps, I don't know. The service is provided by upthere.com, and they have their own idea of how files must be stored (starting with the assumption that most files are photos, which isn't my case).
