Even though this is a Class 2 card (the 16GB Class 4's, like the 32GB cards, are only available in Asia right now), it reads and writes fairly quickly. The card is fast enough to record and play videos on my Curve, and saving a couple minute video after shooting it literally takes seconds to write.
I have two minor gripes about this card, and they aren't that bad. One is the price. You can get an 8GB card for less than half of the price of this one. However, it is still "new" so that's the penalty for being an early adopter.
The other gripe I have is that with the Samsung reader (see the bundle Amazon sells with this card) will NOT format this card in anything other than FAT32. Now the Curve can't understand NTFS, so for me it's not a big deal, but for someone who may want to use this as take away storage, just be aware of that.
Other than that, I think this card is great. Also please note this card DOES come with an SD adapter. Don't let the Bulk Packaging fool you. If you have an SD card reader, you will not have to go out and buy a separate card reader for this. Save yourself the 5 bucks if you can. I hope this review was helpful.
The best part is that card is a lot fast than you would expect and made me realize I would of seriously wasted my money if spent a lot of money on a higher class. Like I said before I came from a 8gb class 2 sandisk and kinda expected this to be slightly slower because of the larger amount of space or the same speed. Unbelievebly this card is faster than my 8gb and guess what its exactly is a class 4 in speed. I've done a sd speed test twice on it one while it was empty and another one with 12gb of data on it and it was classified as a CLASS 4 both times. Its write speed is a minimum 4mbps and its read speed is a minimum 4mbps. It doesnt take long for large amount of data to be put on the card. So unless your a developer where every sec cost you money your going to be satisfied with price and speed.
I did buy from a Amazon recommened seller and used a free amazon prime trial which it got here 2 day like stated. There are probably more fake cards on the market than legitimate ones these days that why I highly recommend buying from a amazons recommended seller. I speak from experience its not worth the risk of getting a fake or defective which end up costing you more time and money to save a couple of bucks.
That said, the card works very well, and the price was great!
Having purchased OEM/Brown Box packaged goods from various retailers in the past, the "Bulk Packaging" label didn't worry me that much.
Card came in a micro SD plastic case.
Windows recognizes a bit less then the card should hold, but I'd bet that's normal - I think disk manufacturers rate capacity based on 1000B to 1 KB instead of 1024B to 1 KB?
As another member stated - it did take a while to transfer 8GB of music to the card, but since then uploading albums as they're purchased is pretty quick.
On a side note, even though I've NEVER had a SanDisk flash device fail on me I still keep everything on the card(s) backed up on my PC.
