I am not the quickest read, but this book kept me up well into the morning facing a very hard wake up call the next day. Even though I was tired, I would think back to how much I enjoyed the book the previous night.
If you have enjoyed other books in this genre such as One Second After by William R. Forstchen you will love this series, and as the third book it was a page turner all the way to the very last word!
I sure hope that eventually this is made into a TV series, & soon cause its that good! On a cable channel, not network! lol Looking forward to the next book, & the next 1 after that, etc!!
Gordon comes off almost as too lucky in this installment. Kind of a Superman with super luck. The author did attempt to try and make his exploits believable, but it was just a bit too much. However, it was nice to catch up on our favorite Mexican Emperor ... a fellow you will grow to love to hate and look forward to his demise...
Sebastain, Gordon's brother; is fleshed out more in this installment. And we get a tickler of more to follow in future books with this younger brother.
End results, if you are following this series... don't miss this book! However, as a stand-alone read, it'll not be at all satisfying.
G Michael Hopf rocks!
