The things I do to stay loyal to an author. Seriously. Yes, I chose to do it. But 67 pages for 3 dollars?? OUCH!!

Pro- Witty, clever, totally funny in spots. Had new characters, Had old characters- really, really liked it.

Con- umm... 67 pages for 3 dollars.

Oh well. My choice. I am happy I read it.

I am reading this series and picked up this short. It does nothing to advance the plot line of the series or any of the main characters so it's totally unnecessary to read this if you are following the series. The story itself is over priced at $2.99 the quality is poor and the plot is pointless - wished I had skipped this one.

This is a great "tide over" book. I just finished the four currant Master's and Mercenaries books. Ian's story is not due out until Oct. 1st so this book was a nice way to tide the readers over. Not long enough but Lexi's books are never long enough to satisfy me. I just want them to go on forever. Yes, she is THAT GOOD.

I have thoroughly enjoyed every book the Lexi has written and this no exception. I read for enjoyment, no if's no and's , no buts about it. Sanctum is a riot! I was laughing by page 3. Ian is talking to Ryan about terms of his contract, specifically concerning Ryan's access to willing subs at Sanctum. Ryan's not listening at all. He's being a total bonehead about this. The comment that set me off was something to the effect of - don't try this with straight guys - they get irritable. Really that's the word you want to go with - irritable? I just cracked up laughing Think I scared the dogs! Know I woke them up from a sound sleep.
Ian's character is getting filled out do much more in this book, but then I've got big soft spot for that grizzly bear of a man. Really looking for his story coming out later this year-already have it on preorder. Talk later:)

The novella had only one problem...so not long enough. Getting to visit with regular characters from previos stories. But the greatest part was making me laugh out loud due to the story. Please my heart did a triple flip with the involvement of Ian, hot mama darn, do me please.

I've been waiting for another installment of this series and was pleased to find I'd missed 3! Getting caught up is so much fun! Great series, great characters, great writer! Thank you Ms. Blake for sharing your gift with us your readers.
I also love this is in Dallas. I'm a Native Texan from the area living in NH now. So each book is like a visit home.

This is a spin off book from Lexi Blake's Masters and Mercenaries Series. Considering I've enjoyed the other books I've read from this author, I was fairly confident I'd like this one as well.

Ryan very much fits in with the rest of the Doms we've met at Sanctum. A great guy, good intentions, but sometimes you just want to smack him upside the head. Jillian was stubborn and extremely hurt by Ryan's past actions.

I really liked the set up of this story and the way the issues were resolved. It wasn't one of those wave a magic wand and everything is peachy again type of things. They have to work at it, which I like.

I would recommend this book for anyone looking for a nice romance with a little kink.

Novella from the Masters and Mercenaries series, this story follow the manager of Sanctum, Ryan and his ex-sub Jillian.

Ryan has been a wreck the past two years without Jillian in his life. He asked a fellow Dom friend of his to take over the contract he had with Jillian when he felt he couldn't care for her anymore.

Little did he know that Jillian's past two years have been just as hard on her. Not because of the fellow Dom, but because she gave up the lifestyle and has been struggling to make ends meet.

She get hired at Sanctum as the bartender position, and as fate would have it, these two love birds rekindle their attraction for one another.

Of course, Jillian is too scared to be "given away" again, but I don't blame her for that. And of course, Ryan wants nothing more than to do whatever he can to be with her again after seeing the error of his way.

Their attraction is fast and hot. They know each others bodies already and that's nice in a novella so a lot of the first time nervousness doesn't happen. I also really enjoyed the female lead role having piercings. She was the first I've ever read that had a few piercings already and it made the sensual scenes even better!

Great novella. I'm not normally a fan of them, but I really love this series and since I skipped over it when I read the other books, I'm glad I went back to it so I could actually see the outcome of Ryan/Jills arrangement.
