Learning your craft offers an easy to follow guide on how to build a cheap easy bag or where to buy one if desired. This coupled with a practical little warm up (with pictures) gets our heats beating and sweat started for the section 2.
Preparing for War offers clear descriptions along with great pics making each exercise listed easy to learn and understand. The fighters tips were well received. I like the idea of no handles for extra grip strength/work too. The exercises using a partner offers a new insight and method for Sandbag training that I've not seen before and adds another layer to sandbag exercise. This all comes together in section 3
Going to war. Don't be fooled by the simplicity of this Programming. Whether your looking for either strength or conditioning or both its here . These programs offer a, well put together, simple but effective pathway to achieving your strength and conditioning goals using a very easy affordable and accessible tool - the sandbag.
Well worth it to anyone out there looking to up their game
Can you guess how hard is find information about sanbags outside US, I can tell you is really hard. Even harder is to find someone who put together technique and experience. So, if you are outside US like me, and you want some serious training orientation, this book is a good option. It is, probably a good option no doesn't matter if you are in US...
This book is a great help for those who are interested in serious training, training for real life. The exercises are well explained (the pictures really help, the workouts are concise but cover all corners. I'm no longer training for combat sports, but I'm still training for that every day combat called life. If your goal is MMA, combat sports, or the greatest fight of all (life), this book is a nice choice.
The title says this is for MMA & Combat Sports but would make a great guide for anyone looking to add some variety to their workout routine with a sandbag. The book has been written in a no-nonsense, straight to the point way. You will learn how to do a variety of moves and then get a great look at various routines.
If you want to know how to get a GREAT workout let this book be your guide! You can read and learn how to make your own sandbag, pick one up off Amazon, or find any number of DIY's online. My advice....Get this book, get/make a sandbag, and get to work!
