For me, I had to hard reboot the device multiple times (power cycle) before it recognized that there was this card installed. Once it did see it, it formatted it and seems to be working.

Problems with order.

This isn't really a problem with the product itself, but more with how the order was handled. I ordered this for a small electronics project because I didn't need a whole lot of storage. The amazon listing said that there was something on the number of 10 or so left. I ordered it and got a shipping confirmation the next day. A couple of days after that, I got a notice saying that they were out of stock and that I would be refunded. I tracked the shipping information and it showed that it was shipped, but nothing after that. Nothing ever showed up and I was eventually refunded. Not the best process, and it seemed like Amazon lied to me about shipping the product when they were really out of stock. Hmm.

Finally, an SD card that works with a Roku 3. I tried an 8GB SDHC class 10 card and the Roku would not format it. Saw recommendations that an older 2GB SD class 4 card might work. This one was recognized by the box and formatted perfectly. I would have preferred the Roku 3 work with a larger card, but at least now I have more usable space for apps.

Description doesn't SAY the 2gb SD card is a return/refurbished BUT; Condition listed as: New. Card description says: "This product has been extensively tested, is certified to be 100% functional, and ready for use". This sounds like a refurbished item being passed off as new to me. Took a risk, card can't be written to, tried reformatting numerous times, nothing worked. Wasted my time. At least I'll get my money back.

Memory cards have really come down in price. This 2 GB memory card is perfect for just about any device you have - your mobile phone, GPS unit, camera etc. With this much memory, you can be sure you'll never run out of room for pictures, videos, data or music. Another great thing about these cards are that they are universally compatible. For example, the mini-card (approximately ¼" X ½") can be placed in your mobile phone or GPS unit. If you have a camera or need to use it in your computer in a larger slot, simply place the mini card in the more standard sized SD card (approximately 1" X ¾") and insert that. For the price, I would recommend going for the 2 GB over the smaller memory cards.
