To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.
The book quality is fine, standard trade paperback, wonderful inking colour, the publishers and the content are wonderful. However not a fan of the “Netflix” branding on the cover. That shouldn’t be a thing, make it a sticker, or a small blurb on the back, not forcing graffiti on the front face.Amazon’s poor excuse for packaging a paperback and what I can only assume strange storage conditions for their books however is a different story. You’d think a company who started their business selling books online would have this down to a science.Came packaged in an envelope with zero structural support or padding. Bent cover, dented spine, and moisture warped pages. Had to double check that I hadn’t ordered a “used” item it’s so bad.The worst part of this is I know Amazon will just take the return and throw it in the garbage. No repurpose, discount sale item or recycling; straight to landfill with 99% of returns. This experience has me swear off ordering books from Amazon again.
If you made it to the end of book one and didn’t feel the need to continue reading…no you didn’t. Quite possibly the best graphic novel series on par with watchmen. Read it. Read it, it is as good as all that.
Came quickly and is exactly what I wanted. I just finished the first book in time and was able to pick right up where I'd left off. It's practically brand new. Definitely appreciate
All of my problems with volume 1 being a little corny at times evaporate in this volume. The art is a perfect compliment to the dreamlike plot. I truly did not believe that the series could live up to the hype that surrounds this one, but it absolutely does.
I'm rewatching Netflix sandman and it really isn't as good as this! The dialogue is mostly the same but visually every Netflix show looks like the same dim boring trash.
The manga sandman is colorful as hell and WAY better visually, and the dialogue is more complete. Buy this!! It's all new material that wasn't on the show!
There's surprisingly enough a lot of text in Sandman. There are these beautiful sentences and these wonderful atmospheric paragraphs. However, the art does enhance each and every word in this series. Even the way the spoken text is written is art in itself. Because that's what Sandman is. Art. The storytelling, the graphics and the plotlines. It's amazing how inclusive the stories are. It's art. It's love. It's perfection and addictive.
