As soon as I saw these on a blog I had to have them! Every parent cloth diapering their little one should have a pair of these because you just never know. I'm particular about washing diapers and always unstuff mine instead of throwing then straight into the pail (the inserts don't always agitate out). My baby is currently only breast fed but these bad boys help tremendously when unstuffing diapers, especially when you gotta get through the poop. Heck even when I'm on the go and don't exactly have a place to throw away the baby wipes I use, these things rock! I simply leave the dirty wipes inside the dirty diaper and once I get home I use these finger guards to grab the dirty wipes and toss then into the trash.
They work well enough and do what they are supposed to but once the diaper change, the question remains "what do you do with the dirty dawgs?" Do you store them as is somewhere to reuse or wash them after each use? Personally, I'm going to wash my hands after changing a diaper anyway so I don't see where these are very practical; washing them just adds an additional step to the diaper changing process. I ended up giving them to my son to use as bath toys (after sanitizing them, of course).
these are so handy to have in the bathroom while dealing with messy diapers! Plus once they are cleaning again my toddler is always running away with them to play saying WOOF WOOF! Just have to make sure they are clean first!!
These took a little bit to get used to, but once I got the hang of them they work wonderfully! I usually only use one although it did come in a 2 pack. My husband also thinks they are fantastic. We now use them to pull the inserts out after each diaper rather then right before the wash. It makes it easier come wash time.
Definitely helps when doing cloth diaper laundry. I wish they were big enough to fit more fingers, though. That would make them more comfortable rather than using just 2 or 3 fingers to "pinch" the diapers. But they work, they're cute, and they're easy to clean! I do wash them after every use, but it's easier to wash these than to wash my hands after getting them dirty with poo!
We love our diaper dogs! Though they aren't anything close to "essential" for cloth diapering, I use our dogs all day every day and they make diaper changing much cleaner and easier. Though I love AIOs, pocket style diapers are more economical and they comprise the strong majority of our stash. This product makes an otherwise "yucky" task much less so. Very happy and would recommend! Bonus- a clean pair makes a great toddler toy for sorting/pinching small objects :)
The product is as advertised. The grips are very soft and they work. I gave it a 4 instead of 5 because although they work, I find them hard to use. They're really big and don't fit well in my one size diaper.
These work well when I use them but they really slow me down. Most of the time I just revert to using my hands and am careful until I can turn and use the sink. If you're squeamish and super patient these are a great purchase.
