I try to make my reviews engaging and useful. Please click the helpful button if you thought this review was worthwhile. Thanks!
Design - Based heavily off of the popular and proven CR Sebenza. It is minimalistic and functional. This model features a small textured design on the handle, there is also a model available with a black flame painted on.
Materials and Quality - The knife is made entirely out of stainless steel, it feels very high quality and has a nice weight to it. The blade opens and closes smoothly, however it is a little tight. The blade locks very tight and the blade locks tight and secure when opened. The stainless steel handle is very shiny and attracts finger prints easily. The handle is ergonomic and fits nicely in the hand.
Pocket Clip - I find the clip is very sturdy and does not wiggle at all. It is secured by three screws making it easily removable.
Summary - Overall, I am extremely pleased with this knife. This knife looks and feels like a knife costing 4-5 times more. If this knife was released by a more well known company it could easily be sold in the $50+ price range. I bought two of these knives, I am thinking of buying more. A steal at $12
1. It was barely sharp.
2. The retail box was crushed and torn.
3. Several scuffs on the entire knife.
4. The pivot was loaded with gritty cheap grease
5. It was covered with a slimy smelly oil.
I was seconds away from throwing it back into its packaging and returning it but decided not too.
After opening it, cleaning the pivot, polishing the washers and properly oiling the pivot I was left speechless on how smooth the action can be. The edge was easily brought back to hair popping.
The knife in the included pictures was after I cleaned it.
Now instead of a 1 star don't purchase review, The Sanrenmu 7010 deserves a solid 4 stars. Here's why
8cr13mov decent budget steel
Great gentleman's knife
Protruding thumb studs
Questionable quality control
Non reverseable or tip up carry
Is it worth getting?
You can't go wrong with the Sanrenmu 7010.
It is a perfect gentleman's or gentlewomen's knife it's thinner than a 556 case and is extremely light for its steel construction not to mention its a manual knife no assist or auto spring. Without a doubt it would ride very comfortably in a pair of slacks or leggings.
8cr13mov is a budget steel but by no means bad some 40$ knifes sport it.
Go to a lunch truck buy yourself a burger and fries for 10$ lose it in 6 hours or buy this knife that could last years.
The round in the picture is a 556 for reference
The all black knife is a kershaw composite leek
The tan knife is a benchmade 556 mini griptillian
