The basic premise was very believable and presented realistically, characters were well defined and developed, the action flowed smoothly, and the immediate conflicts were resolved. The author did a great job of packing hopes, aspirations, and honest emotions into this short story, and she did it so well that I wanted more. This is in no way a cliffhanger, it simply ended too soon.
I wanted to see Dean and Callie sail off into the sunset, holding hands, knowing that -- as long as they had each other -- they could overcome any obstacles and have a good life.
5 well-deserved stars for an entertaining, enjoyable, and (almost completely) satisfying Christmas tale.
I wish the story were longer and or a sequel to what happens post their one day working together.
